Ich war zu den Dampfloktagen im Hotel im Kaiserpark in Meiningen. Es ist ein solides und empfehlenswertes Stadthotel, das vor allem mit seiner zentralen Lage, freundlichem Service und einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis punktet. Die Zimmer sind modern, zweckmäßig eingerichtet.. Besonders positiv fiel mir das Frühstück auf,. Die Frühstücksdamen waren bereits am Wochenende ab 7 Uhr (wegen den Dampfloktagen scheuten sie keine Mühe) für uns da. Die Innenstadt, das Staatstheater, der Englische Garten und das Meininger Dampflokwerk sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Für Eisenbahnfreunde ist die Nähe zur neuen Dampflok Erlebniswelt besonders interessant.
