About this cottage rental
Nestled in Slaughter Beach, this charming cottage for $255 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. If you’re looking for a 2-4 night getaway and your dates are flexible, send me a message for a list of available dates and an extra discount!! This Slaughter Beach Cozy Cottage is looking forward to sharing the beautiful beach with new visitors. The property is located directly across from public beach access so your feet will never get tired of walking to the beach. The cottage features Wi-Fi access and cable TV. However, lounging or reading a book on the screened in patio is sometimes just as relaxing. The cottage is located on two lots with a beautiful view of the Nature Preserve so you will have plenty of space for outdoor fun, bunny or bird watching in addition to your own privacy. There is a spacious outdoor patio area for sunset dinners. Recent renovations include all new floors and ceiling fans in addition to a tankless hot water heater, air conditioning, a brand new washer and dryer and an outdoor shower for added convenience. The tankless hot water system allows for endless amounts of hot water for all of the guests! The cottage is fully furnished and recently renovated. You will find everything you need if you plan on cooking during your stay. There is a gas stove and oven, dishwasher and coffee maker. There is even a grill outside for your convenience. We offer guests the option to use our linens at no additional fee however, outdoor beach towels, beach chairs, and coolers will need to be supplied by the guests. During your stay you should expect to see horseshoe crabs, numerous birds and wildlife. The bay at Slaughter Beach offers guests a more relaxing time playing in the water. The waves are small and the tide is remarkable. You will find when the tide is high you can sail boats, swim laps, fish right from the beach and kayak for hours. However when the tide is low you will find an open ocean bottom waiting to be discovered. Take a walk in the bay and discover what lies beneath. Slaughter Beach is located North of Rehobeth Beach and Lewes, Delaware. The Tanger Outlets are close by and offer approx. 130 brand name outlets along the 3 mile stretch of Route 1. Near the Tanger Outlets you will find Midway Speedway Park, an exciting family attraction. It has 5 go-kart tracks for all skill levels in addition to 18 holes of miniature golf. ***We do not advertise on craigslist***

We stayed here while visiting my family for Christmas, so we were only in the beach house to sleep. The property was spotless and spacious, and I always appreciate contactless check-ins. My family of 5, including 3 young adult children, had ample space to spread out. The location is perfect. Although it was December, we walked the beach each morning. It is literally across the street. The National Wildlife Refuge is less than a mile away. I saw snow geese in the pond there on my run.
The host was very responsive. We had trouble with the wifi on Christmas Eve, and she had it fixed immediately.

The house was fine and as described. There was a washer and dryer that I had not seen in the description which was nice. The beach was clean and not crowded even on Labor Day weekend. The water was very shallow so that you couldn’t swim

If you are looking around for a place to stay near the beach, stop and book this. The house is adorable - cuter than the pictures even show. The house was very clean. We brought meals to cook and they had every imaginable cooking pan, dish and cooking utensil.
We played cards at the round table in the kitchen, walked across the street to the beach and had the most relaxing time.
The home owner was very responsive and helpful.
We can't wait to come back!

We loved staying in this cozy cottage. The house was clean and we liked that there was room to put our stuff (wall hooks, cabinets, tables). It is in a nice quiet neighborhood right across the street from the beach. The dog loved walking on the beach every morning and playing ball in the backyard. The location is great, we went all the way up to Dover and all the way down to Fenwick Island. My favorite stops were Lewes (Lightship Overfalls, Cape Henlopen State Park, Crooked Hammock Brewery) and Milton (Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor).

This was our first trip to DE and we were pleased with the rental. It was located across from one of the public access beaches. Very quiet location and comfortable cottage- had everything we needed. Outdoor shower was great with afternoon sun. There was only 2 of us and 2 dogs but plenty of space for more!

We enjoyed our week at this charming beach cottage at Slaughter. Sunrises over the bay and sunsets over the nature preserve in the back yard made for some beautiful memories. There was plenty of room for the whole family, including the four-legged members who loved walking on the beach right across the street.
The beds were comfy, everything was well-stocked, and we would definitely return for another wonderful week at the beach.

Slaughter Beach cottage
This cottage was the perfect home base for our family summer vacation. Close enough to Rehoboth and Cape Henlopen to make day trips, and in between the kids loved being able to cross the street to a beach full of treasures. The house was super clean and spacious inside with plenty of room to comfortably fit our group of six adults, two energetic toddlers and a dog.

The property manager was incredibly responsive and very helpful with tips to explore the area. We saw eagles, osprey, diamond back turtle hatchlings as well as all the treasures the bay offered up each day. Learning to skip rocks was also a highlight. We can highly recommend the area (small, quiet town, friendly people) as a base to explore other small towns (Lewes) or just to hang out and relax.

Needs a Spring cleaning
It seemed to me that if there was an opportunity to skimp on things it was done. If l was the host I would make sure there were plenty of everything so the guests wouldn’t have to bring extra. There was dirt under the heat registers. I also saw ants. When we asked to use the high chair it was quite dirty and had con webs on it. It was not ready when we got there. The pack and play was provided too and needed a good scrubbing. There were spider webs on the porches.

Cottage was perfect for a short weekend in Delaware with family. The location is great for the quick access for the beach. Town is super quiet in the off season. Perfect place to relax and catch up with family.

We stayed over Thanksgiving. The house is wonderful. It is located right across the street from the public beach access. We had four kids with us, so they were able to go play on the beach each day. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook dinner as well.

Quiet beach and a nice place to relax. Enjoyed the views from the front towards the beach and the back towards the saltmarsh. Great sunsets and sunrises. Quiet street. Comfortable cottage providing all the essentials including olive oil which I forgot. Nice layout of the cottage. Comfortable sitting inside and outside - only had to fight with some flies. Would definitely return.

Home is right across from beach which meets a shallow bay. Slaughter Beach is halfway between Dover and Bethany Beach. Pet friendly home and beach. Home comfortable and casual and clean. Took our dog out every day for an adventure.
