We loved our stay at the orchard hotel. It was in a great location, the room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed.
The room service was poor, it took a long time to come even after we called to enquire. The food was good and hot when it did arrive

One of my biggest disappointments was the lobby. The prominent photograph shown with my Booking.com reservation presents a large, elegant and spacious lobby with substantial seating. This photograph influenced my decision to book the hotel. However, the lobby I experienced during my stay did not look like this and did not provide the spacious lobby and seating environment that I expected from the photograph. I therefore found the presentation very misleading from a guest’s perspective.
The room was also not particularly spacious or conveniently laid out. The bathroom fittings looked worn, and the basin tap was awkward and difficult to use.
Value for money was another disappointment. My original three night Booking.com reservation was S$882.47 including breakfast, approximately S$294 per night. When I extended my stay for one additional night, I paid S$407.66 directly to the hotel for that single night. Although I understand that rates can change, I found this extremely poor value as an existing guest extending my stay.
Overall, the actual experience did not match the impression I had when making the booking.
The reality did not live up to the photographs or the price.
