Lovely comfortable, spotless room, exceptionally friendly and accommodating proprietors and staff, excellent location for town centre and surrounding attractions, superb breakfast.

Breakfast was lovely.

It’s a lovely old building with lots of history and character. It’s been decorated and cleaned to a very high standard. The owners were lovely people who made my stay very enjoyable.

For me with arthritis in my hands opening the room door with a key was quite difficult, especially from the inside. It’s quite stiff to turn the lock and one evening I struggled to open it to get out. Another slight thing was the curtains, they are very long because of the high ceilings and I couldn’t pull them together properly at the top. They were always apart and so let light in, because the room was at the front , street and traffic lights always cast a glow of light in.

Room had everything we needed and the best nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely.
