We really enjoyed our stay at the Hope Anchor Hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself has a lot of character. It is a beautiful historic building with lovely views, which makes the atmosphere feel very special. Everything was comfortable and pleasant, and we would happily stay here again.

Location. Peaceful and tranquil. Friendly staff
Decor in bedroom a little tired and dated, but this did not bother me at all. Charming old school lounge, and excellent breakfast

Friendly manageress, good varied choice of breakfast, great location.
Bar area was empty and only one or two people wandered in. No drought or tap beers, only cans and bottles etc from a fridge.
