The location was perfect for our stop off en route to the north - the service was outstanding & our dog friendly room was absolutely perfect. Best shower I’ve ever had!
The grounds seemed a bit neglected and there appeared to be several in-going projects so a fair bit of building paraphernalia lying around

A beautiful hotel to stay at, full of old character with a long history and set in a great location within an old village. The staff were all fantastic and friendly….nothing was too much for them. The food at dinner and breakfast was fantastic….breakfast was one of the best we’ve had. Cleanliness was obviously paramount at the hotel….it was spotless. It isn’t cheap to stay there but hey….treat yourself, it’s worth it!

Prompt response to replace stained towels. Accommodated us for early evening family supper despite being very busy with other functions. Attentive staff. Great breakfast!

Property is really pretty but the beds are awful, small ( not kingsize as advertised) and HARD!!!
Staff are pleasant but standard of service at breakfast VERY poor and not what you would expect for the money you are paying - would not stay again
