This was not an expensive luxury hotel, it was a traditions pub. A breath of fresh air from generic Multi Nationals. Use it or lose it value for money Pub with lovely owner and staff! Long may such places survive.
I had no complaints or dislikes.

Such great, friendly staff. Fantastic lasagne. Great location & lovely walk up to the Haresfield beacon.
Railway was a bit noisy but quiet overnight so got a good sleep. bathroom was well used but lots of hot water and powerful shower.

Breakfast very good, plenty to choose from on the menu. Although situated beside rail line, we didn't hear anything. Ample parking, nice walks and lovely staff, helpful and willing to assist with anything.
More cushions for outside seating as the ones out there got wet, yes we eventually had some rain. However when we asked we were given cushions from inside, as long as we left them back, so they didn't get wet like someone else didnt do!

The rural situation and bar and restaurant were decent. Food was good. Staff were friendly.
Unfortunately a lot of the property could do with refurbishment and although the bedroom was adequate the bathroom and shower left much to be desired. Our room was definitely not one of those displayed on the website.
