We picked this hotel because it was a 10minute walk to our friends. Beautiful park across the street

Close to friends we were visiting. Bed and pillows were comfy. Plenty of good towels. Black out curtains great.

First room dead bolt didn’t work. Front desk said it wasn’t necessary. Second room faced loud street. First night remote control on heater didn’t work.

Nice but was not what we needed for a comfortable nights rest

Location close to where we needed, was clean and spacious

Extra charge for parking we didn't know about. There was no extra blankets or electric blankets. Had to leave the heat pump going. The bed was hard so we both sleep badly and in the morning there was no hot water for the shower. With those things it would have been very good.

Cheap room but was too noisy.

Looking for a cheap motel for a quick stay. Bed was comfortable, big TV and excellent heating.

Walls are very thin and I could hear a lot of noise from next room. Window overlooked some sort of courtyard (even though it was on the 3rd floor) and there were constantly people out there talking, smoking and making noise. In general, it was a very noisy room. I was also asked to pay $20 for glorified street parking which was ridiculous given the hour I arrived and the location being nowhere near the city. I just parked on the street for free.

Great location, good price, needs maintenance

The location was great, the price was reasonable, the beds were comfortable and the Wifi worked well. There were also some outdoor tables near our room which were handy. Tram stop just outside is very convenient.

The place needs more maintenance. It looked a bit run down and there were basic things not taken care of. The bathroom was an issue. the shower screen had been removed meaning water flooded the rest of the bathroom when showering. The shower pressure was poor and there was mould growing in places in the bathroom.

Not fancy quality but serviceable and decent for the price

Location and very cheap price. It wasn't in perfect condition but tbh that was OK given how cheap it was - there was nothing that was so poor it affected the quality of my stay. The staff were responsive - my door lock stopped working one evening and they'd fixed it within half an hour.

a slightly bigger fridge would be nice, and maybe a microwave available somewhere. Housekeeping don't automatically service your room - you have to ask for it (which is fine) but it was pretty rudimentary, they didn't vaccuum or change any bed linen, which would have been nice during a 6 night stay.

room ….was dirty… under bed has not been cleaned since the hotel was opened. Smelt musty … Curtains were in need of repair: toilet wouldn’t flush: ie blocked ….. 2 tea bags and 2 instant coffee sashes and no milk.

Great well priced Hotel

Great Hotel ...very well priced and a good location..car parking on site .at $10 a day...tram stops close by and the about 800 metres away. Ignore some of the older reviews as has been under new management for the last three months and the new team are very responsive to any issues ( I had a problem with the card reader on the door and it was fixed immediately). I would definitely stay again.

Im never a fan of a $50 security deposit...as I often wonder why its applied

Comfortable and conveniently located but the amenities at the time could have been better.

The room was good and I enjoyed my stay.

The main negative issues for me were the lack of internet and in room telephone services, no room service or laundry/dry cleaning and the fact the in house restaurant was shut throughout my stay.

Value for money and a very comfortable stay

The room we had looked like it had been freshly renovated, clean and comfortable with a pool view

There was no free wifi in our room so the friendly staff tried to fix the problem and ended up shifting us to another room and then everything was fine

Room was neat and tidy and fine for a short stay

Good rates. Room seemed newly renovated and was tidy.

Arrived over an hour after check in time to be told the room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. Multiple other people experienced the same and were in the lobby with us. There appeared to be a lot of staff wandering around but only really 2 on the front desk doing anything. Lobby was dirty from rainy weather.

Good Location & Cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Location to the Melbourne Zoo. Pool & Gym access.

Room wasn't cleaned properly, you could clearly hear the room next door, no aircon, wifi kept dropping out so no access to Netflix, and the beds were a bit too firm for my liking.

Terrible. Dont go there. The place is in disarray and it looks like they are in the middle of reno's

They allowed me to check in quite late at night. They had a Chinese Uni student manning the desk. They couldn't match the booking.com price so I went ahead with booking.com (approx. $20 cheaper. Price gouged for the next night though, if I had made the payment 5 minutes later it would have jumped $80 in price They have parking available, however they make you pay for it

The reception guy was pre-occupied watching movies out the back when i arrived and when I was trying to make the booking online, at the desk, he told me to call him back when i am done, so he could go out back and keep doing what he was doing So distracted he kept my drivers licence and they still have it... Bedside tables did not have PowerPoints, the lights and plugs were literally just hanging there like it was for show (literally no powerpoints along the back or side walls (check photos) The freezer was all jammed up with ice The Air Conditioner didn't work when I attempted to turn it on. The aircon was old and worn, when i walked out in the morning, there were new aircons in boxes scattered in the hallways (so they are obviously onto it) The shower screen completely separated and was all jammed up on the runners The WIFI didn't work, at all When I called reception from bed at 1:30am, he told me to pack my bags, come down stairs and maybe he could 'look at putting me in another room' They would not offer a refund in any way shape or form the next day and refused to do so through booking.com as well Feels like a cheap hotel, completely disorganised, half way through doing cheap reno's and likely owned by people who don't value customer service or standards of the local population. Would not offer me refund on grounds of me not going downstairs, getting out of bed, packing my stuff up at 1:30am and there was no offer of a room upgrade. Talking to the woman in the morning was like discussing something with a robot who doesn't understand English

Although reasonably clean, and the beds comfortable but the pillows were not.

We went to the zoo, so location was great.

Showers. Water was nearly cold with hardly any pressure. Boards behind the bed were not in position.

Leaving, also them letting me leave a day early and refunding a nights stay

The lack of customer service, the working outside your room at 9pm, the lack of available breakfast, the fact the door to the room didnt close unless you leant on it. Fighting with the shower head for four nights and it still not working properly. The fact you had to run water for 10 minutes to get hot water

Disappointing

The location was good for the Tram and walking to Sydney Street for cafes and shopping

The Entrance , reception was dirty and junky , the staff were very unresponsive , not trained well, no one was friendly or welcoming. The Japanese restaurant was not open during our Stay so no place open to breakfast in the hotel or To have a beer.

Value for money

The building, the walls and bathroom facilities are not new but furnitures in the room looked pretty fresh. And they also installed a new reception which looks bright and clean. Value for money.

The receptionist should have a better uniform for sure. But he was very friendly and helpful. And probably change bathrooms as they are pretty old. CBD is not too close but you can use a tram which is just next to the hotel. However, it takes 20 minutes to there.

VERY disappointing. We stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago and it has deteriorated considerably s

Comfortable bed.

Overall the hotel was grubby. Our room had 1 bedside lamp that was not plugged in and there was nowhere to plug it in! There were cigarette butts on the balcony, which was very grubby. The bath with the shower was not easy to get in and out of. The room had awful ambience - very harsh fluorosis lights and as I said earlier no lamps. The mirror was right by the bed. The toilet seat was loose. Worst of all we found a very rusty Stanley knife blade o the floor right by the bed.
