Was very beautiful and walking distance from everything we needed
We were really looking forward to having the dinner there(not the buffet) but when we went unfortunately it wasn’t available but luckily they always have the pizza available so it still worked out as the pizzas was delicious

So much to like here. Rooms are huge with enormous, comfortable beds. Quiet even if on the Baleal beach road. Checked in at 11pm and were greeted by v friendly night staff. Breakfast in the morning was great and we really enjoyed playing pool with a drink in the evenings. There is a surf school in the lobby with an inclusive ethos (surf for all) which we’d like to try next time we come back. Didn’t try the indoor pool or gym but looked lovely and open until 10pm. All in all a well designed, comfortable and welcoming base with great value for money and lovely facilities.
No kettle in room, and no spa. Would have happily paid to use a sauna but they only offer massages. I’m guessing there used to be a spa which got closed after covid like so many hotels.

The robes
The bed was not nearly as comfortable than the Star Inn Lisbon.
Construction noise next to our room starting at 8:30 am.
Breakfast buffet was a zoo. Staff didn’t keep up with resulting food and dishes. Need to rearrange the configuration so people don’t keep running into one another between the food & seating.
Night clerk was rude and snippy when we talked to her about our concerns. She insisted no c o instruction was happening even though we’d seen a notice posted about it. And when we compared it to the Star Inn Lisbon, she snapped that it’s a 4-star hotel. Suggesting that the Peniche hotel was much lower grade. The other staff were fine.
