I had an unbelievable time and cannot recommend Donnybrook Hall or it's staff more highly.

Fantastic, kind, informative staff; great area close to food and walking areas. The room was comfortable with great water pressure in the shower, and the B&B itself was cozy, well-kept, and honestly, perfect. 10/10

I made the mistake of discovering Sandford Road too late. Donnybrook Hall is close to Morehampton Road (which has a nice pub and a great restaurant called Happy Out which I suggest), but Sanford Road is on the other end and has LOTS of shops and restaurants, etc. I didn't get a chance to explore that on my trip. So I'll just come back!

Wonderful stay.

The communication was excellent, as I needed to change my arrival date which was arranged ASAP. The rooms were very clean - bathroom and bedroom, assistant was very friendly upon arrival, apartment is situated very close to a Tesco and other bars for a drink. Conveniently close to my office which worked out perfectly. Wifi has a strong connection.

Parking is limited but the attendant arranged that for me which was great.

Bring back breakfast

Nice area very near Royal Dublin Showground. Unexpectedly, as it was called a 4-star boutique hotel when we booked, we found it is an unobtrusive end terrace house. Unfortunately, due to staff issues, they no longer supply breakfast, which was a shock. There is no real leisure seating area for an evening in either. All that is really on offer is a place for sleeping. Staff are friendly and helpful, our rooms are more than adequate size with good bathrooms and spotlessly clean. Free access to WiFi. I would say a rather cheap and nasty tiny kettle and a very elderly chocolate biscuit on the coffee table could be improved on. A small bottle of water might be a good touch. The hairdryer in my room was also terribly basic. I have never previously stayed in accommodation like this. But the good points (staff, area and cleanliness) more than outweigh the bad and I would be happy to recommend this place, and to return if breakfast facilities are reinstated.

Clean, relatively easy access from air coach from airport, wifi good

Restricted times for check in; booking.com doesn’t make this clear and the hotel was kind enough to accommodate me, but it was an issue; expensive

I spent a great week in Donnybrook hall. Terry and his staff have been very nice, cheerful and helpful. My room was a lovely tiny room and I felt just like home.

Donnybrook Hall is a hidden gem of Dublin where everybody feels like home.

The room was amazing, super comfortable with all amenities you will ever need to your stay. It has been cleaned everyday and they can even wash, dry and iron your clothes if needed. Plus the owner Terry is a charming Man.

It is more general for Ireland than this specific property and that is the internet stability.

Great, host is very friendly. Been to them for couples of time. comfy, clean and it's in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Of course you would get an loud one at odd time but can't complaint!

Very homey

The staff was exceptionally friendly, and greeted me every time I walked in or out of the door. They were super helpful giving directions to anything I wanted, and even recommended a few things to go see that ended up being highlights of the trip. The room was really cute and felt very homey. The location was far enough out of the town center to feel very peaceful and safe, and the bus connections were good too.

Exceptional

Beautiful, classic B&B with kind and caring staff. Quiet and warm room, with an excellent shower. There are several and very frequent buses nearby to take you to the city centre.

the check in lady was very friendly and helpful. And the water was hot.

It was the worst stay in Dublin I’ve ever had! And I’ve been to many (!) hotels, BnB, guesthouses in Dublin over the year! As mentioned: the check in person was friendly and confirmed checkout time as 11am, however another person informed me at midnight (!!) before checking put that checkout time is 10am and that they emailed me about it, they had Not (!) emailed me about it…. Very disappointed will never visit again! They seemed to have been waiting for me to return after going out to tell me this. Very strange and uncomfortable. Then the bad smelling towels and bed linens, they made me feel unclean and uncomfortable. Plus that I had to argue the point with the owner who proceeded to smell test my towels and stated that they’re “fresh” (I guess fresh does not mean clean…) and I had to join in the smelling of towels exercise l which was ridiculous! As hosts they should simply accept my request for new towels and provide them! They did give me other towels but they also smelled unclean, they were also smelly! Which leads me to think they’re not using enough washing detergent in their washes… really unpleasant! I’ll never stay there again.

Exceptional

We stayed for one night, and had a great experience from the moment we met Martina who had coffee and biscuits waiting for us, to the minute we said goodbye. She was very welcoming and gave us lots of advice for restaurants and bus links to Dublin. Facilities did not include breakfast but we were ok with that. We did have use of the kitchen if required. Room was exceptional and the bed was so comfortable. It was a great stay and we will definitely be back. Marie and Pat Nolan, Galway

Exceptional

The accommodation is located in a quiet, nice area of Dublin and yet close to the center, not far from the bus stop to the airport. The accommodation was clean, the staff very friendly and kind, willing to help and advise in everything I needed.

The mattress was not comfortable, but considering the price of the accommodation, no problem for me
