The staff at the Ashley Hotel were all fabulous. Friendly, professional and helpful. We asked for no bleach or air fresheners to be used in our room due to medical conditions and this was complied with absolutely, making our stay fantastic. The hotel was spotlessly clean and triple glazed, so very little street noise. Across the road in a pub named The Corner House we had a great night with traditional Irish music. The following morning we had a full Irish breakfast in the dining room which was freshly cooked and reasonably priced for that area. We would stay again, although one drawback is the absence of a lift.

Perfectly located for our needs.
I had an extremely early flight that morning and really needed a nap before the wedding we were attending, and the receptionist was extremely helpful and rang me as soon as a room was ready. It was hugely appreciated and really saved the day.
The rooms are dated but in a charming way. Feels a bit like a time capsule in there and I hope they keep it that way as the hotel doesn’t feel soulless like a lot of modern ones do.
Really weird experience coming back after the wedding. The receptionist (not the same one from earlier) demanded our room number, key and both of our names. I believe that’s how all guests are treated as they don’t want anything untoward happening, but it was embarrassing and unwelcoming. It was fairly early in the evening, we were both sober and dressed to the nines. It felt like we were being reprimanded and very much left a sour taste. It would, unfortunately, put me off returning.

Great location and wonderful and friendly staff. It was clean and cozy.
The building is a bit old and the walls thin - you can hear how other guests walk around or are snoring.
