The property was a beautiful old 19th century house with beautiful floors with furnishings to match. The house overlooked vineyards and the surrounding countryside, there was also a lovely swimming pool with sun-beds etc, and the house itself was as well kept as an old house can be. The breakfast was good, but strictly continental, with no hot food or toast.
The property has old world charm, but was not located within walking distance of Obidos. So you would have to get a taxi to the town gates or alternatively you could drive to a carpark which was a short distance outside the walled town. Although on a previous visit to Obidos we were advised that cars had been broken into. So, we were reluctant to take the car. There was no air conditioning in the bedroom, the main shower head was good, but the shower spray had the same pressure as a water pistol.

the place is very nice , looking upward to Obidos walls, nice and wide garden with pool.
The room was basic, as expected from agrotourism place, but clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was unique, served in China dine ware and included fresh orange juice, freshly baked bread and more.
Staff was very responsive and welcoming.
No facilities for food or drink in the room or in the common places, you have to wait till breakfast is served after 0900 to have the first morning coffee for example.

Honestly this property is so lovely . What a gem . The mood it sets you in is very special . It took our breath away - right from the first experience of driving into the place , the decor , the surrounding orchards and the view of the castle . What a hidden gem this one is
I think our particular room wasn’t used or cleaned very well . It was dusty . Also if you go in the summer and if you get caught in a heat wave there is no air conditioning or no fans .
