Quando chegámos estavam 3 ambientadores de sticks na casa; o cheiro era bom mas muito intenso. A casa estava fechada e tivemos que abrir a janela (a única da casa, pouco acessível e pesada) além da porta.

L’établissement était parfait vraiment super, emplacement A 1 ! Avec une piscine en bonus , c’était vraiment formidable.
Les indications pour s’y rendre n’était pas vraiment pas claires . Même avec le gps nous n’avons pas pu nous y rendre. Nous avons fini par nous y rendre à pied.
La communication entre “booking.com” et l’hôte était vraiment mauvaise. Nous avons eu beaucoup de difficulté avec le paiement de la taxe “2 euros” ??? Nous aurions apprécié que l’hôte prenne la carte de crédit puisqu’il n’y avait apparemment personne pour la percevoir sur place. Mais finalement nous avons rencontré la femme de ménage qui a été formidable, nous lui avons remis l’argent pour la taxe. Sans elle nous n’aurions probablement jamais reçu le code d’entrée puisque nous étions incapable de virer des fonds!!!

Apartament był idealny, w fantastycznej formie i gustownie urządzony. Składał się z dużego i przestronne go pokoju, niewielkiej ale czystej i schludnej łazienki, oraz małego aneksu kuchennego. Niczego nie brakowało. Ładny widok ja jednym niewielkim oknem. W pokoju była klimatyzacja, wiatrak na suficie, pochłaniacz wilgoci, telewizja z dużą ilością kanałów, sofa, szafa i komoda, w pełni urządzona mini kuchnia i łazienka z prysznicem z ręcznikami i kosmetykami. Co więcej w szafie była apteczka, sejf i suszarka do włosów i na ubrania bo była możliwość skorzystania z basenu. Co najważniejsze było bardzo czysto. A w nocy cicho. Byliśmy tam jedna noc z dwoma psami (dodatkowo płatne 5€ za psa/noc), nie było większego problemu.
Jedyne co nam przeszkadzało to świecący się zegar na piekarniku którego nie dało się w żaden sposób wyłączyć i rozświetlał cały pokój, co utrudniało spanie.

If you want to stay inside the walls it is a very good location. If you arrive by car (as we did) it is relatively close to the main parking areas which are outside of the walls. You have to walk about 200 metres with your suitcases so better to pack the minimum necessary for the number of nights of your stay - don't take large suitcases.
Although the apartment (called "Mezzanine") was clean and tastefully decorated it was small and uncomfortable. The kitchen/living space was only about 1.5 metres wide due to the sloping rock wall. The bedroom was indeed at the mezzanine level, up a set of steep stairs, and had a sloping roof making it impossible for one of the occupants to stand up without hitting his/her head. The bathroom was also small and had a bath with shower head attachment that meant that you had to sit in the bath to use it and this led to the floor getting wet.
There were other apartments vacant that seemed to be more spacious so I don't know why we were allocated this one which was totally unsuitable for more elderly guests like ourselves.

ההזמנה לא כללה ארוחת בוקר. המיקום מצוין, בתוך העיר העתיקה של אובידוש. היחידה מעוצבת וחמודה מאד ואפילו גילינו שיש בה בריכה (למרות שהיה קר מכדי להשתמש בה).
לא הצלחנו להגיע למקום עם רכב ולכן נאלצנו להסחב עם המזוודות במעלה הסמטאות וזה לא היה מאד נוח. היחידה קטנה מכפי הנראה בתמונות ומעוצבת בצורה מאורכת וזה לא מאד נוח למשפחה עם שני מבוגרים ושני ילדים שיש להם ארבע מזוודות.

Tuvimos una entrada de agua por la pared de piedra que nos arruinó la penúltima tarde y el último día. El agua de lluvia caía por la pared de piedra y tuvimos que recogerla y poner toallas en el suelo. Nos preocupaba la noche porque llovía mucho y no sabíamos qué hacer. Nadie iba a poder resolverlo dadas las condiciones de lluvia y la hora. Avisamos por la mañana y nos dijeron que no habían tenido ninguna queja al respecto. Nadie se personó a ver lo que sucedía. Les hemos enviado fotos para justificar lo que decimos.

Nos alojamos en la Casa Pateo, es grande para 4 personas y muy cómodo. Tiene todo lo indispensable para pasar varios días. Estaba tremendamente limpio y con muchos detalles. El baño es espacioso y la ducha muy grande.
Las camas muy cómodas. Vale la pena alojarse aquí.
La piscina no la pudimos utilizar porque nos pilló un día tremendo de lluvia pero seguro que está super bien, la pinta era muy buena.
La ubicación es dentro de la muralla, en pleno centro histórico.

Location – you really couldn't pick a better spot to explore Óbidos, well kitted apartment with everything you'll need for your stay. It was too cold to use the pool but the area was lovely and a nice spot to enjoy the sun.
Took a while to figure out the sofa bed, some instruction would have been appreciated
Could be a little more generous with the coffee pods and dishwasher tablets, if I visited again I'd bring my own

The studio is inside the city walls of Obidos. We were a group of 4 travelling with our two kids and they used the sofa bed which had a trundle under it. Its a good size for 2 people, 4 of us found it a bit tight once the sofa bed was pulled out and with our luggage on the floor. Our bed was comfy with good supply of pillows and nice quality bed linen. Using a door code to get inside was great, it meant we could be more flexible with what time we could arrive, a lot of other places throughout our travels in Portugal and Spain hosts had to meet you to hand keys over so we had to give an exact time which is hard to do when traveling and sightseeing. We arrived on a Sunday during a Chocolate festival and the place and carparks were packed. Not sure if it's like that every weekend but we had to park a bit further away. We left our luggage in the car and waited until the crowds left before moving our car in the evening to one of the car parks outside the castle. There was free parking in that particular car park from 8pm -9am all other times require a ticket. For future travellers staying for 1 night, I'd suggest taking a backpack in with your toiletries and clothes instead of a suitcase, pulling along a suitcase with little wheels on the cobblestone paths was quite a task and I think if your suitcase is not good quality, the wheels may get damaged.
We were sent a message asking to pay the tourist tax and were told to pay via paypal and had to pay a little extra to cover the paypal fee and once we paid only then would our door codes will be sent. We asked if we could pay in cash and were not allowed. I am a host myself on a different platform and would not write something like that to a guest, I felt reading the message to pay and send a screen shot showing proof otherwise the door code won't be given to be a bit rude. If someone wants to pay cash that should be allowed, there were cleaners at the premises all the time that we could have given the money to. Perhaps be a little more flexible with international tourists, we purposely had cash on us to pay for these taxes during our travels.

O checkin é feito sem a presença de uma pessoa. Eu não percebi isto, pois o e-mail foi para a caixa de lixo, e quando chegamos com a nossa menina já ao fim do dia, não podíamos entrar nem sabíamos o que fazer, pois ninguém atendia nem havia ali um contacto. Felizmente um outro hóspede explicou o processo e só aí fui ver os emails e consegui um contacto. A senhora foi super prestativa, mas esta situação poderia ter sido evitada.
Achei todo o processo muito frio, pois nunca vi ninguém do espaço.

Atitude inconcebível do esposo (?) da proprietária que pelo atraso de umas horas do sistema bancário para a transferência de dez euros (suplemento pelo animal) nos ameaçou telefonicamente com a alteração do código do quarto em plena véspera de ano novo, apesar de já ter conhecimento da tentativa de pagamento por mbway que só não se concretizou por se ter esgotado o plafond do estabelecimento (não do cliente), apesar de já termos pago mais de 261 Euros pela estadia mais de uma semana antes, apesar de já termos pago a taxa turística logo que foi solicitada, e apesar dev- pasme-se - ter sido a nossa segunda estadia no espaço de um ano, tendo a primeira corrido sem qualquer problema de pagamentos (incluindo o suplemento do mesmo animal), já para não referir o nosso histórico e nível no booking, com estadias nos mais variados destinos aquém e além fronteiras. Recebemos posteriormente um pedido de desculpas - somente após confirmação do referido pagamento, note-se - pedindo a nossa compreensão porque, passando a citar, "há muita gente que passa por aqui em quem não se pode confiar". Ou seja, mesmo sendo a nossa segunda vez e já tendo pago 261 Euros, seríamos gente em quem não se podia confiar para pagar dez euros. Por outro lado ficamos a saber que a frequência não será a melhor. O atendimento e atenção da senhora que gere as reservas foi sempre irrepreensível, é lamentável que a intervenção do senhor em causa para além de ter estragado uma ocasião festiva fez com que perdêssemos qualquer vontade de regressar ou até de recomendar (algo que tínhamos feito no passado). Não imagino que justificação ou argumentos poderão apresentar sobre este comentário, mas está tudo devidamente documentado - com exceção da fatura que foi solicitada sem resposta passado mais de um mês, por sinal. Para bem do estabelecimento, limitem o contacto com clientes a quem o saiba fazer.

Le fait de devoir payer la taxe de séjour avant l’arrivée ce qui a entraîné des frais supplémentaires. Ce mode de paiement est compliqué pour car il faut régler avec PayPal ou virement bancaire mais cher quand on vient du Canada.
Certains équipements sont un peu désuets (bain et lavabos écaillés).

Es wurden online alle Apartments angeboten, de facto waren aber alle Baustelle außer einem. Die Erklärung, weshalb man uns nicht das gebuchte Apartment gegeben hat, war offenkundig eine Ausrede.

Dei 2 letti aggiuntivi per i figli uno era largo ma corto (circa 1,70 m) e l'altro era molto stretto, andava bene solo per un bambino e non per un ragazzo di 16 anni. Per 4 persone la sistemazione non è molto comoda, può andare bene per 1 notte o 2.

De nada, não tive a oportunidade de conhecer o local mesmo tendo feito o pagamento da reserva.
Fui enganado pelos proprietários, pois não enviaram o código de acesso, alegando que eu não tinha feito o pagamento da taxa de turismo de 4 euros, mesmo tengo pago integralmente a tarifa da acomodação e enviado até 3 vezes o comprovante da transferência pela taxa turistica

Pocas cosas. Alojamiento normalito, decorado con buen gusto pero muebles deteriorados.
Lo peor fue el anfitrión. Cuando llegamos, introdujimos el código que se nos facilitó y la puerta no se abría. Llamamos al teléfono que se nos proporcionó y la persona que lo cogió nos dijo que esperásemos unos cinco minutos por si nos habíamos equivocado que lo hiciéramos de nuevo. Seguía sin funcionar y tras introducir el código en muchas ocasiones y mover ligeramente la puerta, finalmente se abrió. El problema es que habían echado la llave y por eso no se abría, y al zarandear suavemente la misma, el pestillo de arriba cedió y pudimos acceder pero no se podía cerrar de nuevo. Habíamos estado media hora en la calle esperando, con frío y de noche. Volvimos a llamar a la responsable, le explicamos la situación, y dijo que iría alguien a cerrar con la llave. Pasada hora y media, no había ido nadie. Volvimos a llamar, y nos dijo lo mismo, que iría alguien. Pasó otra hora, las once de la noche, y no aparecía nadie. No pudimos salir a cenar fuera, ni ver las luces de navidad, porque la puerta se quedaría abierta. Un desastre de servicio.
Por la mañana, fuimos a la policía para informar de lo que había pasado, porque la puerta se quedaría abierta al irnos y no queríamos responsabilidad ninguna por si alguien entraba a la vivienda y sustraía algo por la ineptitud de los dueños y para hacerles saber que habíamos también pedido por escrito la hoja de reclamaciones y nadie había contestado. Nuestra última sorpresa fue recibir un mensaje de los mismos, a las dos horas, reclamándonos 200 euros porque supuestamente habíamos dañado el apartamento. Era su venganza por haber ido a la policía, ya que ésta los había llamado por teléfono, y por pedir la hoja de reclamaciones. Más tarde, admitieron que era todo falso y pidieron disculpas. En definitiva, gracias a la incompetencia y mala fé de los responsables, nos arruinaron la escapadita a Óbidos.
Por otro lado, para pagar 4 euros de tasa turística, hay que hacer una transferencia internacional, lo cual es muy costoso.

La escalera para subir a la cama empinada y de escalones estrechos.
La cama en un espacio pequeño de techo abuhardillado con el que había que tener mucho cuidado, te dabas en la cabeza si te despistabas.
La forma de atender del personal no fue correcta.
Dos dias antes de mi llegada avisé que llevaría mascota.
Al día siguiente me contestaron que enviara por transferencia un suplemento y que reportara justificante.
El mismo día de llegada cuando estaba de viaje me escriben que no les había llegado el importe y que no me funcionaría el código de acceso.
A todo esto ya habían cobrado el importe íntegro de la estancia y el taxa turística y eso que no habíamos ni visto Obidos.
Le intento enviar el justificante ante desde la App del banco y no me lo dan por bueno.
Le digo que me parece fatal todo esto que son 5 euros que le dejo en el alojamiento y que cuando le llegue la transferencia (que estaba hecha) me devuelva el importe.
Hasta que no le envíe un pdf que saque de la App del banco durante el viaje no me dieron el ok.
Tanto código y al final me tuvieron que facilitar una llave porque no funcionaba el resbalón y la puerta se quedaba abierta.

Só uma observação mas não põe em causa um bom serviço que usufrui, mas gostava que tivéssemos um tapete na sala. A minha pequenina de 2 anos ficava no chão a brincar com os brinquedos dela. Apesar da casa ser muito quentinha e aconchegante.
