Beautiful eco resort that feels luxurious while rustic at the same time. Incredible views from the hotel restaurant. Lovely helpful staff and the free shuttle to town was great. The villa itself is beautiful and open plan. Please note its true outdoor living. The bedrooms are not fully enclosed from the elements (but this makes it a truly special and unique experience). We loved the indoor/outdoor aspect. The pool was also a beautiful place to spend relaxing days with a cocktail.
Not a huge problem for us as I have teenagers however the 3 bedroom villa is 3 separate rooms not connected to eachother. If I had smaller children this may have been an issue for us.

Stunning views over the sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant. Restaurant food is good.
Bed was terribly uncomfortable, with what seemed like a piece of foam rather than a mattress. There was an airconditioner in the bedroom but sitting right over your head so too cold to use. We left a day early to stay somewhere else as we found it too difficult to get a good night's sleep. The property is quite weathered and could do with a refresh.

Loved the location overlooking the sea, coast and mountains. Waking up to sunrise and Mount Agung every morning. Loved the fact the living and bathroom were all outdoors, but the bedroom could be closed in. Outdoor bath with view and comfy chairs on the decks. The eco aspect was balanced well with nice touches and convenience. Resort was very clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. What exceeded my expectations was the food - the chefs were amazing and everything fresh. Bias Tugal beach 5/10 mins on free shuttle was lovely and snorkling trip from boat was better than I had thought it would be (even saw a 2m reef shark). Would recommend the boat over trying to snorkel from Blue Lagoon beach itself. Hiring a driver to go further afield for a day was easy and supporting local. Oh and massage at spa was fantastic!....and morning yoga was a treat to start the day. Stayed 6 nights which was enough for us to totally relax and see a bit of the surrounding area with a driver. A few families were staying longer.
Nothing at resort we didn't like, but Blue Lagoon beach itself could do with a clean up. However, head to Bias Tugal a short free shuttle away from resort, or Virgin Beach 25 mins drive further up the coast for the most pristine beaches I have visited on Bali mainland.
