Cliftonville Hotel

Breakfast, view from our room, seating in the turret of our room, bath, nice smelling towels, quirkiness of the hotel

Reception of the TV was very bad, not enough plug sockets by dressing table, pillows quite uncomfortable, no milk in room.

The location was great. The view from our window was amazing.

A little bit dated in areas.

Great location, room was large and airy. Sea views were very nice. The hotel is over 100 years old and has a quirky almost 'Fawlty Towers' feel to it. The staircase is an amazing feature and the rooms are scattered up/down corridors and stairs. A great base from which to explore Cromer

Room was okay but the bathroom was tight, the shower was so small especially with the plumbing being in the shower and not behind the wall, watch out if you bend to wash feet as you will meet the plumbing on the way up or down. The window was silicon-ed shut and there is no vent in the bathroom so prepare for a sauna after the shower. The room needed a stronger fan the provided one was weak and barely worked, trying to juggle the radiators for heat was interesting. The first morning, breakfast staff person was disinterested (we interrupted them it seemed) in the guests, fortunately the second morning there was another staff member there which helped the first out of her doldrums.

The staff where very friendly and polite. The location was excellent for town, pier and prominard

The bed was very uncomfortable, bedding was old and lumpy. The shower was set at a fixed angle which shot water across the bath to the opposite wall soaking towels and shelf. The head had to be manually held to have any short of shower. very difficult
