It is a beautiful old building, we loved the history and loved out views looking out to sea.
We loved the property.

Our room was very good
The food was poor. A large party was in the hotel at the same time and unfortunately special treatment was given. Breakfast food was precooked and when we received it, it was obvious. No pastries left and very little fruit. We had one evening meal and again the food was okay but again very focused on the large party.

Very friendly staff, very good food (both at breakfast and at dinner), pleasant public areas, excellent views across the seafront.
The hotel was forced to downgrade our room due to a booking mix up (bookings.com failed badly here, with the hotel description and photos not matching what was on offer), which put us in a barely acceptable room. A great disappointment.
Parking at the hotel is extremely limited, so be prepared to park on the street, although there is currently no street parking charge.
