for visiting the cathedral and other laser show venues, the Musée de la Cour d’Or, and the Port des Allemands, as well as for evening strolls through the beautiful Old Town. We were even able to watch the solar eclipse right from our hotel room. The parking garage beneath the center offers ample parking for hotel guests. A particularly convenient feature was the drinking water dispenser on our floor, where we could refill our water bottles. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful; Cindy at the reception, in particular, provided excellent assistance when we decided to extend our stay, allowing us to keep the same room despite the hotel being nearly fully booked.

We enjoyed the hotel so much that we stayed for another four nights. The hotel is in walking distance to most of the sights, in particular to the Musée de la Cour d’Or, the cathedral, and to all the locations of the laser show "Constellations".

It's in the centre. Reception staff was helpful.
Guests were allowed to bring their dogs to the breakfast room. Lots of people are allergic to animal fur, and there was a girl who was absolutely terrified and jumped on her chair, tucking into a ball. The French granny saw this, still kept the dog there. Her daughter and grandkids also had a dog in a straw bag, which kept barking. Inconsiderate, selfish and rude. Staff did nothing.
Our room was dirty and looked like it hadn't been decorated since the 80s. Never have we stayed at such a shabby Novotel before. It's supposed to be non-smoking, yet there were cigarette burns in the upholstery. The curtain was stained, the windows hazy with dirt, windowframes rusty and the paint was peeling. The mini fridge didn't work and it was dirty inside. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned. The towels looked clean, but smelled. Glad we only had to stay one night.
