The hotel is quite old and the carpet is very dirty The windows cannot be open and it is quite claustrophobic.

Top location, good value

Very good location in Wan Chai, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Also walking distance to Causeway Bay and Admiralty, and to Ferries to Kowloown or to Macau. Rooms are a bit dated and furniture rather old, but it's OK. Rooms are very small, but that is general in Hong Kong.

The carpet in the room was rather worn out and not particularly clean, but still acceptable.

A budget stay during Chinese New Year period

Location is close to MTR and Time Square, but first time arriving at night is a bit difficult to find. The staff were very friendly

The hotel is quite old. I stayed for 8 days and on the last two days, the lifts were not working due to some water leaking issue at the 3rd floor from what I heard. I lived on the 9th floor. Other guests and I could only used a tiny, slow freight lift to go back to rooms. I ended up using stairs most of the time in those 2 days...

The WiFi was weak and erratic. You could not reliably communicate with it. They need to improve the strength and consistency of the WiFi's seignal. (better routers?)

Happy to be back in Hong Kong after 3 Corona years !!!

The guest elevators have been out of order most of the time . Staff elevators had to be used, with great delay & waiting long time for elevator

Lifts weren’t working for the whole stay of 5 days so we had to take staff lift which was mostly full and very slow

Love the interior and vibe. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff.

The lift didn't work for few days so we only use service lift which took us long to go up and down to our room.

The flooding issue was documented by the news "HK never disappints" which I couldn't disagree more.

The Charterhouse staff at the lobby helped pressing the elevator when they saw guests coming into the lobby.

On Jan 25 at about 3pm, we were told there was a flooding issue happened in the Charterhouse 3rd floor gym room which caused the lower floors including the lobby flooded. the guest elevators were stopped operation. We were all told to use the cargo elevator instead, this caused all guests to queue up a long line to share the elevator with the operation staff who was busy doing the cleaned up caused by the flood. At about 9:30pm when I checked out the hotel with our 4 luggage in the elevator, together with my husband and my daughter, as well as another guest in the hotel. An operation staff forced a whole cart of towels into the elevator when the elevator was already in its capacity. He asked us to move aside and push the cart into our luggage, my daughter was hurt and screamed, my husband was trying to stack up our heavy luggage to give space. I asked the operation staff to move back without coming in. He said he had been working for the whole day for the problem and he had a lot to work further. He just continued to push the cart into us. I asked for his name for my complaint with the hotel. He asked us to complaint but he refused to give us his name. It was an unpleasant experience and destroy the hospitality image given by the lobby greeting staff and the cleaning staff. I demand an apologize from the hotel.
