Très bien pour une nuit sur le mont Saint Michel

Nous avons passé une nuit en famille à l'auberge Saint Pierre pour visiter le Mont Saint-Michel. Malgré le prix élevé de la chambre, nous n'avions pas d'attentes particulères, voire quelques inquiétudes... Mais au final, tout s'est très bien passé. La chambre ne se trouvait pas dans l'hôtel même mais dans une annexe plus haut dans le village. il faut grimper un peu pour l'atteindre. Mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé car l'endroit est très joli et aussi plus calme que la rue principale. La chambre était grande, propre, et correctement équipée. L'acceuil s'est aussi très bien passé. Nous n'avons ni mangé ni petit déjeuné au restaurant de l'hôtel (effrayés par les avis), donc nous ne pouvons rien en dire.

Payer le séjour au check-in, alors que le paiement est déjà garanti par une pré-autorisation sur carte bancaire. C'est une pratique assez limite (et heureusement peu courante). Si la chambre ne convient pas, ou si le séjour se passe mal, alors le voyageur perd la possibilité de refuser le paiement tout en partie. Mais le nombre d'hébergements au Mont Saint-Michel est tellement limité que l'Auberge Saint Pierre peut se permettre d'imposer cette pratique :/

I can’t say it’s a great value, but it’s clean, and you can’t beat the location

location, location, location. breakfast was good.

was pretty hard for my elderly parents to get to. only amenities in the room was soap and shampoo. given the few shops on the island, a few bottles of water would be nice.

the staff was nice, location was good.

as many have complained, no one read the fine print so including myself, was surprised to be taken to another annex hotel uphill. Wasn't very happy at first but found the rooftop view quite spectacular. The room was comfortable but the little desk was a bit dusty, and there was trash in my little garden. Also, as Mont Saint Michel is very close to nature, I can find small insects like ants and myself was heavily bite by mosquitos. I guess I can't blame the hotel. Plus, the reception was kind to keep my bags but it's only at the counter or in their restaurant. It's safe but not that locker safe, if anyone would fine. I personally was fine though. All in all, as an experienced solo traveller, I've pretty much accepted these especially this is a TOURIST AREA, what can you expect? Just if you're a super clean or anxious, or can't take things easily sort of person, I'd recommend you look through everything when you look for accommodations.

Nothing really unless they raze the entire city and install elevators and escalators and conveyor belts. Climbing and walking in mt set michel us part of the price one pays for the fabulous setting b

1 night stay

Friendly welcoming staff. The room was well decorated clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Excellent location inside walls of the town. There was a door at the back of the hotel that led directly onto the ramparts. Breakfast was nice with a good selection.

Nothing bad to say, If I'm being picky, breakfast was perhaps a little expensive at €18 (but plenty on offer) and beer in the restaurant was also expensive but bearing in mind the location it was to be expected.

Amazing stay at a magical place!

The staff was helpful and efficient. The room was lovely and had a beautiful sea view! The restaurant staff was courteous and professional. The food was decent and the prices were to be expected due to being on the island.

We couldn't find one thing not to like. We loved our room.

Warning to senior citizens: Don't stay here unless you are exceptionally fit and agile!

The genuinely historic setting, and proximity to the historic abbey.

The location of our hotel room up many levels of stone stairs without railings, exposed to the elements, cold, wet and difficult for older persons. We had to struggle with our luggage all the way up to our room (no help). The passage is poorly lighted at night, and the stone steps get wet. Slippery and dangerous for older people especially. Hotel staff only partially helpful. In addition wifi did not work in our room until the last morning hours of our stay.

An incredible experience

Staying on Mont Saint Michel was an extraordinary experience, being able to wander around after all the crowds had gone was priceless. Be prepared to walk up hilly cobblestone streets and many stairs to get to rooms depending on where you are located but it was definitely worth it

It can be a challenge to find somewhere to eat, my advice is to book early so you don't miss out. I think generally Mont Saint Michel does not have an overabundance of restaurants but that is not the hotels fault

Superb

The hotel is perfectly situated within the walls of Mont St Michel, just steps away from the renowned restaurant La Mere Poulard and just a few steps farther to the main gate. There is a charming restaurant and bar at street level, and from our room on the second level we could easily exit to the ramparts without having to leave from the front entrance. The rooms are cozy and well maintained, with a second-floor breakfast room just adjacent to the main desk. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, this is an ideal location.

Great way to visit Mont Saint Michel

Location on Mont Saint Michel was wonderful. Our room had a terrace with a medieval feel, including views of the Abbey. A great setting for evening drinks

There are unavoidably a lot of steps to climb to reach the room.
