All the staff in the hotel and restaurant were really friendly and helpful.
Dogs allowed everywhere. The castle room we had was really good, newly refurbished, really comfy bed, great views over the garden. Large bath and large separate shower was great.
The set dinner menus were really interesting and were great value. They give you lots of additional palate cleansers and tasters before and during. All the food we had was really tasty, well cooked and generous portions.
No spa appointments available so you need to book before you arrive. Gym is too sparse.

Beautiful location, fabulous history, close to amenities and a terrifically comfortable bed!
We could only stay one night!

Good room and bathroom. Great layout.
A bit old fashioned for me and very poor WiFi
