The staff were warm, friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a very good location. Breakfast was generally fine, but nothing special.
Already upon entering the reception area, we suspected that the hotel might not quite match the photos on Booking.com.
The room was an unpleasant surprise — extremely basic . Even a windowless room could be made much more welcoming with thoughtful lighting and wall decorations, but this one felt bare and uninviting. The furniture and overall design have clearly seen better days. The TV was ridiculously small and did not work properly.
Another major problem was the room doors. Because of the way the closing mechanism works, they cannot be closed quietly and guests have to slam them shut. This creates a lot of noise in the corridor and repeatedly woke us up during the night.
We did not enjoy spending time in the room, and the pool area also felt as though something was missing. Small improvements could make a big difference — for example, removing the old umbrellas stacked in a corner, cutting the dead branches from the palm tree, and creating a few cosy, well-lit spots where guests could sit outside and read in the evening.

Great breakfast and dinner with beautiful courtyard and pool. Nice staff.
One room smelled strongly of smoke.
There was an electric current when showering that was fixed quickly the next day.

Beautiful little hotel in the old town. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, nice little pool, good restaurant.
Breakfast wasn’t included in our room rate and the add on price was crazy. Not a big deal as there are plenty of great places within a few mins walk.

I liked my stay at Dogan Hotel because of the location and a nice swimming pool. It was a pleasant stay as well it was well near all the major attractions and good food points.
The worse thing was service . AC was not working properly although it was not that hot overall but room was very warm and Air conditioning was worse even after escalating to the staff they didn’t helped in that regard. I wish the service was a little better , would have been the best stay then
