The location was perfect. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was right on the beach, the patio had chairs and a hammock which we made full use of. Breakfast was varied, loved the different fresh juices every morning. The staff were very helpful. We loved being able to walk along the beach to access any part of town. A fabulous place overall.

Everything was really great! Amazing location right on the beach, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast. We had a room with ocean view, it was magic. Having a hammock on the balcony was great.

The location was amazing. And a stunning view from the room.
The overall quality of service at the hotel did not meet expectations. The cocktail bar was unavailable for most of our stay, and when it was open, the cocktail options were extremely limited — only Cuba Libre was available, with no other choices offered. This was disappointing given the hotel’s positioning and pricing.
The building and renovation quality appeared poor, and the cleanliness and maintenance of the breakfast area were below standard. Tables were not promptly cleared or prepared, and the best seating areas were often left dirty for extended periods.
Given the price, I expected a noticeably higher level of service. If the hotel is under new ownership or management, there is significant room for improvement. I would strongly recommend that management visit established high-end hotels to better understand the level of service guests expect at this price point.
As a benchmark in Ecuador, I recommend Hotel Otavalo in Otavalo as an example of how quality service and maintenance can be done well.
