Everything is so much expensive than normal retail.

I really liked the steak meals at the Sundowner, and was happy to pay the extra.

Outrigger needs to be more transparent with fees, bond and extra cost before international visitors arrive

The adults only area, activities offered and spa were fantastic. Can’t recommend the spa massages enough. Views are beautiful. Staff attitudes are warm and welcoming generally. Fire dancing & Polynesian show was hands down the best part & the coffee at the Takia Go shop is best in Fiji. Porters & security guard are all lovely & shout out to Ben down at the activities centre - he was absolutely fantastic!! Loved the driving range, archery, paintball and tennis

Everything is so incredibly slow with service. We went into the trip understanding and expecting “Fiji time” however it’s so bad that it actually quite impacts your trip. It took 25 minutes just for the staff at the buffet to add the ONE drink we’d had (that they hadn’t charged us for) to the bill. They were trying to serve various rooms at the same time, rather than one at a time in any sort of order. Let me stress that this is not at a busy time, and it was not complicated. We had 3 cocktails and 1 water. Being honest, we advised them of the mistake when they charged us for 2 cocktails, 1 water. No joke, we repeated this to the two staff no less than 8 times. This is one example that happens at nearly every single meal. Nothing is easy. You have to watch out for phantom charges too. We attended a wedding here and EVERYONE had non legit charges at different points throughout their stay. Your food will ALWAYS be cold and it will never come at the same time as the rest of your table. I waited an extra 45 minutes for my breakfast when I ordered at the exact same time as my partner - yet somehow it came cold and missing the beans? (It was beans, toast, eggs and Hashbrown…). Another night, there were 3 tables in the restaurant and we waited almost 2 hours for food. It impacts your day as you will need to be ok with not having plans because things are so slow you won’t make plans. If you have a massage at 3, order lunch at 11-11:30 (no, I’m not kidding). It gives the vibe of a hotel that has just opened and needs time to find its feet. However, my understanding is that it’s been around for a long time. Things aren’t working as well as they should and it’s quite obvious. For the money you pay, I have to say it isn’t worth it. Housekeeping took our water bottles day 3 and never gave them back (despite advertising available water every day).
