Where it was situated and the swimming pool
Room was a bit small and the smell of cooking in the bar area. Found out about the cellar end of the week.

Staff very friendly, especially in the breakfast room. They helped my 8 year old grandson do a surprise birthday for me. Much appreciated.
Very good continental breakfast with a good choice of cereals, fruit, ham, cheese, boiled eggs and pastries etc (I can recommend the pains chocolat)
Nice swimming pool and changing room facilities.
The evening menu is short but the food was good.
Comfortable lounges and bar, with an outside terrace
Plenty of parking available.
A short walk into Lyndhurst (10 minutes) and a nice pub 200m
The hotel welcomes children and dogs and feels very comfortable in a slightly old fashioned way - no Scandi-chic here, but that makes it more relaxing.

The pool was a great addition to the hotel, Kelly in the breakfast room was fabulous.
Room was tiny, the whole hotel and little tired. Not worth the money we paid,
$$$$
