Room was very large which was good.
Bed was like sleeping on concrete.
Food at the bar was rather poor...I had a baked potatoes with cheese and beans for lunch and it was so dry. It came in a plastic basket with paper underneath, so I ended up picking the paper out of the potatoe!

The hotel itself was lovely and clean and up to date.
The staff were really friendly.
Its part of the old Trafford cricket ground, and 5 mins walk from old Trafford football stadium, we could see the stadium from our room
Also the tram/metro stop was 2 mins walk, at the back of the hotel basically.
The staff were lovely but service was poor.
You could only order exactly what was on the bar food menu, you couldn't add anything in or take anything out. Which is annoying.
We asked for towels and toilet rolls to be put in our room.while we were out for the match and food and drink and they never did it..and there was hullabaloo over getting them then and I heard them say they were running out or had run out of toilet roll.
It was way too expensive for what it was. The pillows were uncomfortable but the bed was comfortable. The tap leaked all over the sink counter top and onto the floor..
We were talking to another Irish family who had eaten in the restaurant and said the food was awful. And it is pricey too.
They don't reset and clean the tables at breakfast time as people come and go, even though there was plenty of floor staff , so the manager was looking around to see if any areas where still set up and for another family that came in. They had to wait maybe 5 or 10 mins even though the breakfast area was both very large and mostly empty tables. So that's odd to me. And the buffet was not fully stocked up and was missing items, according to the chef that was on.
Again lovely friendly staff, but some of the younger staff seem very very lazy.

De locatie: ik liep de Manchester Marathon. Start/finish was letterlijk voor de deur, Een betere uitvalsbasis bestaat er niet.
De bedden waren harder dan verwacht. Ik had bij een Hilton hotel wel iets comfortabelere bedden verwacht.
Ook de kamer was klein voor een 3-4 persoonskamer. Eigenlijk was het een tweepersoonskamer met een slaapbank.
Daardoor vond ik de prijs aan de hoge kant.

Lack of vegan options for breakfast + in the Grill bar no option. Vegan pizza would be good to have on menu as would vegan yogurt, croissants, sausages at breakfast. Oat/soya milk was provided though which was good.

Stayed in a lovely twin room which was immaculate and perfect for a nights stay. Free parking on site too which is always a bonus. Great location for where I needed to get to work for the next day. 😊

This was our second stay here. We chose it again for the marathon location as several of us were taking part. It was perfect.
Bradley - in his first week - was friendly, professional and efficient as we checked in.
The restaurant staff for all meals were all efficient too - it was clearly a really busy weekend for everyone but that didn’t show at all.

Room was nice and comfortable. Staff on Tuesday night were lovely and friendly.
It would have been nice to have bottled water in the room and biscuits to go with the coffee. We stayed for 2 nights and was really disappointing to return to the hotel room at the end of the day and the room wasn't made up. When you pay £100 a night it would have been nice to return to a bed made and clean towels.

Fantastic location for the match at Old Trafford, good sized room for our family. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and overlooking the cricket ground, which my two boys thought was ace!

Reception staff were extremely helpful on arrival, the hotel reception area was clean and tidy. Great location, easy to get to in Manchester City Centre on the Tram and could also use Tram for other destinations, but we used the car.
I had stayed at this hotel previously and was so impressed decided to book for this trip. Unfortunately, not impressed with location of our room and the state of the room. Our room was located near to the lifts, every time the lift went up and down we could hear it, we were also near the building works opposite which we could hear from our room. We were in a king room with sofa bed, my daughter slept on the sofa bed but every time she moved the bed creaked loudly. Our bed was extremely uncomfortable, not what I experienced on my last stay in a twin room. We had a long day ahead and we were all shattered after a dreadful night sleep and woken-up early by the building noise. Not only did we have a long day ahead, we knew we would not leave Manchester until around 6pm with 5 hour drive home and having to get up the following day for work and school. Our room looked as if it needed decorating, there was paint that had peeled off the wall above the sofa bed, there were lots of marks on the wall as you walked into the room, the lampshades were all dusty inside, and marks in quite a few places on the carpet. We were also not happy with the way were greeted at breakfast, after a terrible night sleep, I at least expected to be greeted with a friendly smile, but received the complete opposite and when asked for our room number there was no please or thank you, just 'go find yourselves a table, it is self-service' and she barely looked up. We arrived to breakfast at 9am, so still plenty of time until end of service, however, they had run out of fresh cut fruit, there were no waffles, apparently they had no more waffle mix and the sausages looked like they had been sitting out for a while. On this occasion it was definitely over priced due to our room.

Everything went well. The room was exceptionally clean, the shower gel and body cream were amazing, the view from our room, the staff were so lovely and thoughtful and friendly.

Room was really clean, we had a pitch view room too which was nice, allowed plenty of light into the room. Breakfast was good, lots of choice and a waffle maker too! The aircon/heating in the room turned on really quickly and was easy to adjust
The pillows were awful, like mush. Only decaffeinated tea bags in the room? Restaurant is very expensive and doesn’t have much choice.
When we checked in the receptionist told us that check out was 12pm, that the electric would be off from 11:30am for maintenance but that we were welcome to stay until 12. However, this wasn’t the case and we got a call to the room at 11:15am asking when we were checking out because check out was actually 11am because of the maintenance. That was a bit embarrassing but it seemed the case with all guests because no one knew check out was 11am for that day.
