Breakfast very poor. Apparently hotel restaurant was under renovation and we were given voucher for Starbucks
Voucher only covered a bacon or sausage nap with tea or coffee. No vegetarian option and the bacon roll I had was quite unpleasant. Very little bacon no butter so very dry bread. I had paid for bed and breakfast expecting at least a full Scottish. Breakfast very disappointing

Great noodle bar next door and a place to take your dogs

Cleanliness of everything from bedding to bathroom.
All amenities catered for.
Noise from guests in room overhead.

The hotel was in a good place for our journey and the room was big enough, with a comfortable bed. It was fine for our dog, with enough ground around the hotel for a walk. The views around the hotel are attractive. A night's stay is not expensive.
The hotel doesn't provide anything other than rooms (which, of course, we knew). That means you have to rely on other places in the service area to provide food, which was a bit disappointing, although, again we knew it wasn't going to be great! There used to be a breakfast provider - but it was closed for refurbishment.
