You get what you pay for I guess, not terrible could have done with more thorough cleaning. Even that wasn’t that bad

Room was in good condition and decent size to.

The room wasn’t particularly clean, bed was made perfect but could have done with a good hover from the last person staying. Loads of bits like nuts and fluff under the bed and next to it. Wasn’t terrible tbh

Shower didn’t work in first room after moving rooms I was put into a room near some sort of squash court and was woken with a constant banging of a ball on a wall

Disappointing

Beds were comfy, lovely duvet and pillows. Nice shower in the room.

Out of a 6 night stay, two days our rooms weren't cleaned, sheets changed, beds made, towels changed and toilet rolls not put in. Twice we had to ask. We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 boys aged 5 and 2. Also we didnt include breakfast on our room as we didn't know if it would suit us. We did end up eating breakfast in the hotel. We asked on our 2nd day if we could add breakfast to our room as this was cheaper than paying full price and we're told by the receptionist that we couldn't add it on now. It could only be added in advance. Bad pool times for children. Small Children are always up early our boys were up at 7am but not allowed in the pool until 9am! Not good enough. My husband went to the pool most mornings himself and it was very quiet so don't understand why children aren't allowed in early. Also during the week children are not allowed in after 5pm. Again not good enough. For families who are out all day visiting places like Gullivers World, the Safari Park and Aquarium etc during the day by the time we got back to the hotel most days it was after 5pm so we couldn't even go to the pool with the kids. The reason I picked this hotel was for the pool but very disappointed with kids times. Also no fridge or safety deposit box in the room.

Annabel on reception provided excellent service.

First room has someone in it when I opened the door. Second was supposed to be a Club room. Very basic, dirty carpets, dusty in corners and infestation of tiny moths.

Great base, comfy beds

The size of the room was really good, and the beds were amazingly comfy. Friendly staff in the hotel, from the housekeeping to the restaurants and helpful on reception too. Loved the pool, my little boy was upset we couldn't go until 9am but understand the need to have adult only time.

I was very disappointed in the second nights stay due to the extremely loud music / band/ event directly below us. As a family, I would have expected a warning or even to not be put somewhere where there was going to be severe disruption - especially with a 5 year old. This led to very little sleep for 2 out of 3 of us. Before this issue, I was already thinking of another visit later in the year as it was so great, and my little boy loved it. After this occurrence, I would definitely think twice and probably choose elsewhere if it was a weekend.

Overpriced for services on offer

Self-check-in and check-out was new to us but went ok.

Lack of heating in the room - the air conditioning heater did not work at all well. There was a portable heater in the room but not really adequate. However, it did allow us to get a little sleep during the very cold nights. The hotel charges for everything! Charges for parking, charges for use of gym/swimming pool and breakfast not included. Breakfast @ £10 per person - coffee machine did not work very well and we had to request expresso because it was not available on the coffee machine. Evening dinner menu choice of food was disappointing - we went somewhere else to get a dessert! Red wine menu disappointing also.

We paid extra for the pool facilities. The pool heating was broken and freezing and the jacuzzi out of order, went down the next morning and the whole pool area closed off for repairs. We really should have been advised at checkin and offered a refund for the facilities
