The Paddington House

For the price it was what I expected. I did have a solid nights sleep. Good to have tea making facilities.

No lamp/ reading light just main bright light. TV in strange place, awkward to watch from bed. Could hear next door kettle & TV, talking. But it wasn't for long. A little shabby in places in bathroom.

Clean, comfortable bed, & lovely towels provided. Gud bath/shower- Kettle & t-bags & communal access to microwave & eating area - gud parking. Pleasant staff, 24hr access- handy location to local shops, - really gud for a couple of nights stay with Ground Floor rooms are essential for my needs

We recently stayed here and, to be fair, the hotel is clearly going through a transition. It has recently been bought by new owners and there is ongoing refurbishment taking place in various parts of the property. At the moment, some areas still look quite tired and run down, and there are parts of the hotel that are in need of significant updating. However, it is also clear that work is being carried out, so hopefully the improvements will continue and the hotel will eventually be brought back up to a much better standard. The new owners appear to have taken on a property that needs plenty of investment, so I think it’s important to judge it in the context of the refurbishment rather than expecting everything to be perfect straight away. There is definitely potential here, and if the refurbishment continues as planned, I can see the hotel becoming a much nicer place to stay. At present, though, there is still quite a way to go. We stayed in a double room it was adequate for what we needed for the one night but couldn’t have stayed for multiple nights It was clean and the bed was ok No food or drink especially breakfast were available and that maybe is in the pipeline for the future….no lift that we could see and that could be a problem if you have mobility problems
