We stayed to break up a long journey so location just off the M6 was perfect. Room was good and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The pub section was lovely and staff were very friendly.
We thought we had booked a quite village pub to rest our heads after a long day however when we arrived there was a very loud party in full swing with live singers. The receptionist had to shout to give us the information about our stay, which wasn't great. She told us the party would finish at 11.30 and they had an extended licence until then. This was all fine. We checked into the room, which was extremely hot so opened the windows only to hear the party below. Again this was fine knowing it was going to end at 11.30pm. We went and a had drink in the bar where you couldn't hear the party but on returning to the room although the live singers at stopped the disco continued and this went on until 12.45am with the guests also talking and laughing loudly. I am not a party pooper but there was no consideration for guests that were staying in the pub and yes we could have gone down to speak to them but we kept thinking it would stop soon as it was due to stop at 11,30, but it didn't.
