lovely food at breakfast and evening dinner
we paid 40pp for buffet dinner but was told if we wanted to go ala carte then we would have to pay full amount and this 40pp would not count towards it

We like the nice jazz and soft music in the evenings. The views of the ocean and golf course are lovely. Though we didn’t eat there this time, we like the small, Italian bistro on site. Nice atmosphere and service and good food. We love the tea area off the reception and all of the indoor and outdoor seating and chaise lounges. Very nice and cozy. Loved the sea breezes and nice climate. Great location and close to the banana plantations, and mountains. The breakfast is nice and we appreciate being served our juice and coffee. Wonderful dining room staff.
The 6 th floor is the main level reception where you do the checkin and one floor below are the restaurants. If you don’t know that it is a bit difficult choosing a room over the internet. I think there should be a map on their website as there are many levels and a lot of twists and turns.
In our case, I don’t take elevators and have mobility issues, so we had to change rooms the first night. Though the property had sent an email, it did not explain that the second floor suite was 4 floors down. They switched us to an “upgrade” with an extra fee. The air conditioning did not work but we had to wait until morning to change. Also the “upgrade” did not have the sea view it promised, aside from the broken air conditioning. It was a small, boxed in terrace with a tiny window. If you were seated you could not see outside. Finally we were changed to a very nice room with working air conditioning. But there were no apologies and we felt like, initially, we were an inconvenience and an annoyance. The new room was very nice and we had a good stay afterwards. We’ve had better check in experiences in the past with different staff. The first night the receptionist left my husband with 3 large bags at the elevator, in the dark and he had a terrible experience not being able to find his way there or back.

The breakfasts were very good the dinners barely fair ! Small bottle water 6 euros , rip off !
Room view very disappointing bearing in mind we had booked a suite with a view .
They tried entertainment but had no clue how to present.
Thus 6-8 people , non atmosphere at all .
