Not sure I'd stay again

The location of the Metro South Perth is unmatched for us with how close it is to the stadium and public transport. We love free on-site parking too.

After checking in we went up to our room and when we walked in it immediately smelled like cigarette smoke. We walked straight back out and back to reception to request another room. I was told there was no more rooms and then the lady at the desk checked and found another room in the opposite side of the building. It meant our son had to sleep in the bed with us but it worked for us as we were only staying one night.

Cheap and cheerful but would only stay there to sleep - very few other amenities.

Location and parking were great.

Quite run down, lifts weren’t working and over all looking very tired. Room service inconsistent.

It was good

Was in a nice location, the view from our room was really nice. It was nice and clean. Room service was very nice as well.

The bed was not comfortable. It was just 2 mattresses out together so one of us was falling down the crack in the middle.

You get what you pay for. It was clean.

Good location

The rooms were old and rundown. The hair dryer in the bathroom was full of dust and a massive fire risk.

The view was good.

There was no USB ports for charging - so you need to remember to bring a plug. When they made up the room they did not clean the coffee cups or wine glasses that we used. Pillows were to soft as wall, woke up with a sore neck.

Close to the city, great views of the river.It has the most amazing room service at night as the restaurant does not open at night

Definitely won’t stay again

The view.

The staff at the front were hard to understand and tried to over charge me for the room. The amenities were very average, tea / coffee making was dirty, the aircon was dirty, the fridge was loud and noisey. The bathroom didn’t feel clean and the whole room smelt musty. The best wasn’t great and pillows were very uncomfortable

our bathroom had mould on the tiles and grout in the shower and entryway was dirty. the mattress was very uncomfortable and as a couple we both rolled towards the middle of the bed

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the reception and restaurant looked very nice and welcoming. Great facilities such as laundry and the view of Perth City was amazing. Amazing Coffee also!

I paid extra for a cot and did not use it the entire time because there was no mattress just sheets which were far too thin, you could still feel the poles underneath, honestly I was upset that someone would think that is okay/comfortable for a child. I did find cockroaches which honestly didn't bother me that much (they are the worst to get rid of). The biggest issue for me was while I was out shopping for the entire day, my room had been cleaned by housekeeping and when I came back that afternoon my door was left open which was very shocking (my PS5 was on full display for anybody to grab), it felt like a real invasion of privacy and I could have had my childrens and my own stuff stolen.

The space of room, lighting and they looked recently renovated.

The room had a smell, like sweat head smell. The shower didn’t have a soap or shampoo holder so floor was only option. Toilet hadn’t been properly clean before I checked in as I found previous shower gel tube half way on top of shower door. No shower cap provided either.

The view of the city from our room was second to none. The manager was overly friendly, but this may have been him trying to compensate for the others who were not so friendly, and for the very poor quality and standard in the hotel overall -_-

The toilet smelled like a sewage farm and for a while the water flushing into it was yellow. The walls were dirty. The beds were saggy like hammocks. There were ants everywhere and a few cockroaches. The decor is very old. The balcony had one uncomfortable chair. Small bottled water were $6.00 each. Terrible 👎 lucky it was only a one night stay due to necessity.

I will never go this hotel again and not suggest anyone to go.

the duty manager Antony was trying to help, unfortunately our case is out of his authority, but he did show his sympathy.

We reached at approximately 11pm, night security on duty directed me to park my vehicle at the underground car park. The height limit for the carpark is 2.0 meters, which is the status of the carpark noticeboard. And my rental vehicle is 1.9 meters. (they ask me to double check with rental company and we checked, it’s 1.9 meters something.) I refused to enter, but the night security insisted that the vehicle fit to enter. And he directed in front of me to enter into carpark. After moving the vehicle, the roof of the vehicle collided against the roof of the carpark and caused the vehicle's roof dented. After which, i shifted out my car, and the security directed me to shift the car to the sandy land beside the hotel. It ended my vehicle plunged into the sand. He informed me that he would assist me in getting a towing service. However, the male officer at the hotel lobby neither provides any assistants nor help and shows a very bad attitude. He keep saying that it’s not their responsibility, I have to seek help myself. this is ridiculous! I always believed that as a 4 stars hotel, it should be a reassuring place for tourists to stay overnight for a good rest. As such, I was confident when the security on duty guided me throughout the parking process. Unfortunately, the incident happened. and I got blamed from hotel staff??? Due to the unfriendly and unhelpful lobby receiption officers' behavior, I have no choice but to call and surf online for the towing services, until midnight. The procedure was very difficult, especially when i am a tourist and no assistant or any sympathy provided or shown from the hotel. After I managed to arrange the towing service, I requested the lobby receptionist to give me a call when the towing company reached. After a while, I came down to check on the status, and then the towing company told me that he had arrived 15 mins ago and yet I didn't receive any call from the lobby. This is a very bad and terrifying...

The facility is tidy and you can have a great view of the City and Swan River from the balcony.

Bathroom sliding door broken, needs fixing, hanging on 1 hinge, couldn't close it during bathing .
