I stay here regularly now after trying various other options in the area. The staff are friendly and authentic, the owner is always cheery and helpful, the rooms are always clean with comfy beds, any issues are addressed immediately and you will want to try their cheese and onion pie!
Very rarely a guest in another room may get a little noisy but this has always been dealt with appropriately by the night manager and is so infrequent it cannot be put down to the venue but the other individuals staying not necessarily having respecr or awareness of other guests.

Staff friendly and efficient - option of light breakfast included in room was good to have, with option to upgrade for cooked items if you wished. New TVs and WiFi working much better than the old ones last time I stayed - Wifi speed was good and being able to stream directly to TV was very helpful. Location is great and views spectacular.
Room was a bit chilly - no heating provided on second night and I was a bit cold going to bed. Shower in my room wasn't great - either narrow jet blast setting or wider mode was more like a dribble - no happy medium so perhaps a new shower head is needed. Could do with more power points/USB sockets in the room for charging. I managed but it would have been trickier with another person in the room. Also some acoustic transfer issues but that's expected in older properties not purpose-built as hotels.
