Great location , comfortable bed . The spa facility was great and the staff in that part of the property were excellent .
No walk in shower , food mostly served tepid , majority of staff in the hotel seemed disinterested especially the one who checked us out , didn’t ask if we enjoyed our stay didn’t say hope to see you again . This is in contrast to the local people we met who were very friendly .

The breakfast was served in the Pottery restaurant. The breakfast consisted of a buffet with breads, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, in warmer trays. You could also order a hot breakfast item from the kitchen i.e. Full Irish breakfast, mini breakfast, pancakes, poached eggs and porridge.
We ate dinner at the hotel in the bar/restaurant. The food and the service were very good.
The hotel had a fitness center with pool. We did not use the fitness center but it looked modern.
The hotel was situated a short distance from the town centre, Arklow Castle, and many restaurant options.
We stayed in room 222. To get to the room you had to walk down a long corridor and then go up a flight of stairs. No elevator in this section of the hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious.
This section of the hotel was older.
The bathroom had a tub/shower. You had to step up 18 to 24" to enter the tub. The tub had a half glass enclosure with no rubber between the glass and the tub. When you took a shower the floor area got very wet.

Staff were exceptionally friendly. Room very comfortable. Bar food was really delicious and the carvery the best we've ever had. Nice vibe in the bar with live singers on Friday. Lovely nature walk right by the hotel and even saw male and female phesents outside our window. Water taps to fill jugs and bottles along the corridors as well.
