Elegant, spacious and beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful and generally very charming without affectation. The grounds are magnificent and there are wonderful walks to cater for all capabilities. The estate is also dog friendly, which is a bonus.

Lovely estate and the room was beautiful. The bathroom was exceptional.
No air conditioning and it was very hot and whilst the terrace restaurant was excellent, the meal at the main restaurant was no particularly good. Next time I will eat at the terrace

The breakfast was okay, there could have been a better assortment of nuts & berries, honey.
There was a lack of communication with orders, some the staff looked as if they were trying to get rid of spare toast as if it was an auction.
In booking I had made an error as I assumed the spa was included as well as the breakfast. I phoned and spoke to a very helpful and courteous nice concierge who said he would include this. However when I checked in and out I was treated with suspicion and scrutinised by the staff.
I also was greeted when trying to reserve a table for dinner that the restaurant was very busy and was made to feel guilty attempting to reserve a table. When we arrived there were lots of empty tables in the restaurant.
Some of the staff were helpful but the lack of training and how to speak to guests was showing.
There was a gentleman behind the bar who looked like he needed a bath, shave and looked as he had slept in his clothes. Very poor image
Overall the spa is a triumph but the hotel needs a shakeup as I was very upset by the general attitude , overall slack.
