Location of the hotel was great, very quiet and peaceful even though the road is relatively close. The building and garden is beautiful aesthetically with a water feature and plenty of outdoor seating, lots of wildlife too. Parking is a plenty and no extra charge. The food was spot on for the evening meal we had a fish finger sandwich side salad and crisps with a side of chips and cooked to order breakfast was lovely and could even add a hash brown. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.
The venue is very wedding orientated and had one on the Friday night and Saturday afternoon so plenty of wedding goers and other events seem to take president over normal hotel guests. The bed was very uncomfortable (way to firm for me) and is 2 single divan beds strapped together with 2 single mattresses on pushed together with a sheet over. Obviously makes a big bed, bigger than a standard king, but is very uncomfortable as no topper to make the join bareable. Other room types. buffet breakfast on the weekend was very cool in temperature and staff so busy welcoming, clearing plates, cleaning tables etc that a lot of the breakfast items were very low, no bread, no scrambled egg, 2 sausages left.
