Very big rooms comfortable to rest and work in a fantastic environment

Price is on the high end

All the staff were so friendly. I was a solo traveller for the first time and the staff in the restaurant were so lovely and made, me feel comfortable. Everyne was so friendly and went above and beyond to help when needed. The peacocks that were outside made the experience even more beautiful and the food was amazing and good value.

Loved the mixture of old Charm and a modern twist.

Pool felt a bit dated and could do with an upgrade, steps walking down with a shallow end for the kids would be better and a hot tub would be a great addition. I wouldn’t say it is very accessible as it is.

- Most of the Staff were very friendly and attentive (excluding the front desk woman with dark hair that was covert dismissive, despite there being problems with our room etc.) - Beautiful grounds and building - The Peacocks roaming the grounds is pretty unique - breakfast was very good - the room was comfortable and nice (once we moved to one without issues).

- pubic hairs on bathroom floor on arrival, still some after cleaner came to address (with a towel, rather than dustpan and brush) - Blocked sink in bathroom… brought drain odour liquid rather than unblocking liquid and made problem worse with disgusting stuff now visible and sink more blocked. - Shelves removed from fridge. - Hotel did move us to another family room. Noticed disparity between the same room types (family) as new one had a nespresso where other had only kettle. - Wife slipped on wet and slippery tile in pool area, injured head and arms. Hotel did provide ice in a bag and offered to organise travel to hospital if needed. The pool area does have Matt’s to walk on to combat slipping, however my wife slipped on a part that had none of that matting. They should probably add where it is not present. Or add a coat of anti slip paint to tiles (as they are very slippery!). - Front desk staff (woman with dark hair) very dismissive to my wife and at check out. - nothing offered by hotel to try and make up for the issues during our stay.
