We had an absolutely amazing week here! The location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains, with incredibly fresh, crystal-clear air. We were lucky to have several gorgeous days for hiking and the scenery around Bad Gastein is simply unforgettable.
Breakfast was great - everything you need is always available and we especially appreciated that there was always plenty of space to sit comfortably, no matter how many guests were staying at the hotel. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming!
We booked 2 rooms, both without balconies, but they were very comfortable. One of the rooms had a more modern design and a particularly large, spacious bathroom. Everything was clean, cozy and perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains.
I also had to work for a couple of days during our stay and the Wi-Fi was good. I was able to join all my online meetings without any issues. The only exception was during one very heavy rainstorm, when the electricity went out for about half an hour. The hotel Wi-Fi was unavailable then and even the mobile internet connection disappeared very quickly, but it is definitely not something the hotel could control.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. A beautiful place, fantastic surroundings, great breakfast, friendly hosts and everything you need for both a relaxing mountain holiday and a little remote work. Highly recommended!❤️
The only minor downside was some road noise in one of our rooms, mainly noticeable at night if you like to sleep with the windows open. Fortunately, there isn’t much traffic at night, so it wasn’t a big issue.

The rooms were next to each other to stay close to the kids, and were located in the quiet part of the hotel (away from (rail)road) and on the cooler side of the hotel, which was very nice considering the high temperatures. The bathroom was very small with a nice shower and a toilet.
The breakfast could be taken from 8 am to 9.30 in the morning, coming more to the end of the breakfast not everything from the buffet was still available.

The price is fair. Room was comfortable. Reception staff behavior was great.
Poor breakfast. Photos of breakfast are misleading, they do not reflect reality. No pastries at all ( just bread and a strange kind of croissant, I could not eat) no selection of yogurts. It was little cold in the rooms.In the lobby was also little cold but they didn’t not opened fire.
