We stayed one night at The Mews in Oamaru to view the penguins. Checking in at the front desk was incredibly fast and easy. The room was clean and fresh, and the comfortable beds ensured everyone had a great night's sleep. Free, on-site parking was good. The location was quiet.

modeern spacious twin unit on ground floor with disability access. plenty room to move about in the main room. good kitchenette. off main road, so quiet surrounds:)
Sky sports channel would have been appreciated as All Black were playing

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable with a good bed and 2 armchairs. There is well equipped kitchen and we had a mobility bathroom.
There was very little space for luggage which we had to spread on the floor - not satisfactory in a mobility room. There were no power points by the bed and some tissues would have been appreciated. Some sheer curtains would have been good as the room is dark once you draw the curtains for privacy. We had to ask to have the heating turned on - it was a cold day (this is the first room out of 11 we've stayed in that the management didn't have heating on prior to our artival). The worst thing was the room was really smelly from a previous resident's cooking.
