Frogner House is an elegant old building which has been modernised to a high standard, it is close to the centre and the neighbourhood is well catered for in terms of a large supermarket and a range of eating places. The room was a good size with all the facilities you would expect in a boutique style hotel the bed was large and comfortable and there was ample hanging space for clothes etc.
We did find it a bit hot in the room and there was no thermostat allowing you to adjust the temperature, so we ended-up opening the window which wasn't ideal as we faced the main street and there is a bar across the road. I also had issues with the shower as the floor felt slippy underfoot and I would have like a rubber mat but there wasn't one available.

Bed was comfy and bathroom clean and new.
Virtually no power points, dingy/tired hallways and common areas, no staff/robot checkin and needed someone (another guest) to come out for us to get in - the intercom was in Norwegian and we didn't understand a word. Once inside we managed to get our door cards via the check-in machine as instructed by emailed check-in procedure using g provided code. Our room looked out onto the internal courtyard where kitchen staff from adjacent restaurants regularly stepped out to smoke with the smoke entering our room. Overpriced for such a tired stale place. Fantastic location is the only consolation.
