Staff were excellent: friendly, helpful and always someone on duty. Room was a good size, bathroom spacious too and very clean. Shower was easy to get the temperature right! Always a bonus when we stay away. Bar was kept open even when only 1 person was using it during one evening of our stay. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and staff happy to tweak the menu to cater for allergies.
Evening meals were on offer when we booked, from Monday to Thursday, but the kitchen was closed when we arrived on the Thursday evening. Staff suggested various local places which helped us. Only 3 coat hangers in the "wardrobe" and very small drawers for clothes, it would be difficult for a longer stay than our 3 nights.

Very comfortable. Attractive Hotel. Great breakfast.
Nothing to dislike but would have appreciated a coffee machine in room. Could have done with better bedside lighting for reading.

Loved the rooms on the cottages and the enclosed garden to sit in, food very good.
The bathroom could benefit from a small shelf to put things on instead of having to keep finding what you needed in your toilet bag. As we only stayed one night it was doable though.

Warm and friendly staff, great breakfast and the room was really large and we had all we needed for a nice overnight stay.
The buildings are quite old, and our room in particular had some damp issues
