Beautiful cool room with a comfy bed. Having a fridge was great, Views from the terrace were wonderful and the Riad was in a lovely quiet location.

I'm pretty speechless (doesn't happen often) and don't know where to start with how utterly wonderful, divine, memorable, warm, friendly, comfortable, kind, beautiful, well-equipped, scenic, 5 star location in the Medina, whilst being quiet, Dar Adul is.
Mary, the owner has taken a prime location and building, with the roof terrace, stunning sea views to die for, retained the charm, upgraded it with mod-cons (and some amazing wifi) and kitted the accommodation with everything you could ask for, decorated it with most stunning local art and Moroccan furniture and a friendly, professional, wonderful, caring team (shout out Mohammed and Said) that elevate it a stay that it's really hard to say goodbye to.
My second time to Essaouira, last time I was solo but this time I brought my 80 year old Mum and wanted her to experience the heart of the charismatic medina but was a tad worried, given her age with the notorious tricky buildings and potential pitfalls etc...Well Dar Adul was the dream. Easy for her to get around in (even up to the roof terrace), bright, comfortable everything, a pleasure to rest in, in-between gallivanting and with always someone on-hand with a smile if she (or I) needed anything and to witness how bold and joyful and adventurous it made her, even in this new, foreign place was the best gift to me. We were spoilt rotten! THANK YOU!

The property was unique- lovely artwork, individually designed rooms and lots of comfortable seating inside with a tasteful terrace overlooking the sea. However, what makes Dar Adul exceptional is the owner, Mary, and staff- Mohamed, Saiid, Khalid and Amina who were so kind, helpful and friendly.
