A good escape from the hustle of the city.

The location is nice and close to the National park and also away from the hustle of town.

The buildings were quite outdated The staff (while majority very nice including at the pool towel and the upstairs sunset bar ) there were a select few (at the beach bar and the spa) that were not very friendly. The spa treatment was very disappointing. I booked a massage and a facial and the massage was not great and the facial smelt like they used soured yoghurt and caused me to break out quite badly. I would definitely not go to the spa again and was very disappointed noting the price of it.

Top Lage, sehr großes Zimmer, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück. Gesamte Anlage sehr sauber !

Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen, sollten mall wieder renoviert werden. Den Weg unten am Strand sollte man auch befestigen ... Sand ist nicht optimal .

Ein sehr schöner, komfortabler und erholsamer Aufenthalt.

Wir haben eine Poolvilla gebucht. Diese war sehr komfortabel und sehr schön eingerichtet. Auch verfügte sie über einen eigenen Pool und eine Gartenlounge, welche wir sehr genossen haben.

Lovely resort in a beautiful location

Superb accommodation and great swimming pools. Cannot wait to come back.

Hotel breakfast was not as good as we had experienced elsewhere but there were a good range of choices and everything was fresh. Pasties, crumpets and waffles rather disappointing. Egg chef a bit hit and miss at times.

Fantastic beach and atmosphere with a lot of privacy

Fantastic breakfast in the pavilion down by the sea. The whole resort is very nicely designed and it feels like you have a lot of privacy. Nice gardens and pools a bit hidden between bungalows and villas. Fabulous stretch of beach, even after a walk along the beach all the way to the Bang Niang inlet/river we liked the beach of Moracea best: nice and sandy, never crowded and with nice waves. There is a very nice bar at the beach. The resort is spread along a hillside, but this was not a big problem as every care was taken to make bungalows and rooms accessible and it was quick and easy to order a buggy if you didn't feel like walking. We travelled in the monsoon season, and we needed the buggy a couple of days as the main rain shower was after breakfast. It's a 10-minute walk to the Khao Lak village and there's restaurants even closer, which was nice as the hotel restaurant is rather pricy and gets easily boring. It is easy to organize tours by yourself, we went to an elephant camp by taxi, to the sea turtle conservatory and waterfalls by private car, and to the James-Bond Island (private car to the coast and hired a boat on the spot) at Phang Nga. There were no tours to the Similan Islands in monsoon season. The hotel has good airconditioning (not noisy or too cold) and the showers were hot and had excellent pressure (which is often a problem in Thailand). The staff was very friendly and helpful with every wish.

The rain was a bit boring as it kept raining 2 of the 4 days of our stay, and then there is not so much to do around. Of course this is not the hotels fault. However, the tour operator located in the lobby is not very helpful and has very limited (and pricy) tours on offer. But there is always a local taxi on the road just outside that can give you all the tourist information you need.

Exceptional

I loved the resort with scattered rooms all over a sloping area with the beach right at the bottom. The staff are exceptionally professional, with a golf car ready to take you down or up. The pools are set in the lush vegetation, and it is a definite for going back.

Total Perfection From Start To Finish!

The Grand Deluxe Hibiscus room we had was one of the best rooms ever, in terms of facilities, comfort, sea views and luxurious bathroom layout.😀 The service was impeccable from start to finish, with so many helpful smiling staff to ensure our stay was totally perfect! 🙌 The swimming pool and beachside areas were wonderful , with lovely designs and ample loungers, which can so often be a drag. The lovely beachside bars were wonderful, serving delicious food and cocktails at good prices, particularly with the wide variety of Happy Hours available from 4pm through to 10.30pm! 🥂 Breakfasts provided a level of variety, quality and quantity to satisfy anyone from anywhere.

Our whole experience was total perfection! Thank you Team Moracea!

Really beautiful hotel site, directly by the sea. The room was incredible and so clean. The bathroom was very big and had a great shower. The breakfast buffet was really big and had a lot to offer and the stuff was really friendly.

Exceptional

We got the room with pool access. It was clean, big, and beautiful. The food it the hotel wery good. Also, the pool bar was right in front of our room, it was awesome! The staff is very nice, and the hotel's beach is amazing.

The only difficulty is that the hotel is built on a hill, so you need to go up and down for the beach and breakfast, but you can order a car ride

A tranquil, super comfortable slice of paradise with excellent staff.

Beachfront location was great. Loved that there were so many different places to sit, relax, eat, drink or swim.

fresh juice & barista coffee at breakfast would make it even better. breakfast was really great.

Great for a family, not for luxury remote.

Private beach, beautiful restaurants, fabulous facilities.

Some of the properties up the hill are not worth the price. The ‘view’ is non existent. Very busy

All round amazing, everything was fantastic.

Room was fantastic, so many options for breakfast. Multiple pools, restaurants and bars (including happy hour). Beautiful beachfront and staff were amazing! I'd definitely go back.

Everything was wonderful, cannot say there was anything we did not like.

The most amazing hotel. Should be 5*. A real Haven.

Everything at this hotel is amazing. The beach is stunning and clean. The rooms are huge, modern and spotless. The Pool is beautiful and the food is just amazing. Perfect location to get to town to see the market. It’s cheap to eat out. There’s also plenty of tours to enjoy nearby. The elephant bathing is a must. This hotel is THAT good we left our hotel in Phuket we were meant to stay in for the second leg of the trip, paid out of pocket and drove the 2.5 hours BACK to the Moracea to finish our holiday because it’s that amazing.

Needs to be a towel card system in place as the Russian/German guests just go help themselves to 2-3 towels each leaving the hotel short some days.

Wonderful stay at Moracea.

Hotel rooms were fantastic. When we booked, we didn't realise that our rooms were on the third floor, we had two rooms, side by side. My sil had difficulty walking up the stairs so we requested for room change. The reception staff were very kind to allow one room to be on the ground floor, for the rest of our stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Buggy drivers were very friendly. Breakfast after 3 days started to get boring, although the food was good. Coincidentally one of days we stayed was my daughter's birthday and the kitchen staff arranged a small cheesecake for her. It was delicious and very kind of them to remember the occasion. Lots of European guests residing in the hotel. The nearest town is Khao Lak and you can either walk there (about 2 km) or take a tuk tuk. Phuket is an hour's taxi ride from the hotel and quite expensive.

Nothing to dislike.

Location was good.

I would class this hotel as 3 star. Our room was very dated. No light switches or lamps at side of bed. No room to hang clothes. No sunbeds. Definately overpriced. Our room was ontop of a hill.

Highly not recommended for allergic sensitive

Great location. Great Beach.

Room full of dust. Not recommended for allergic sensitivite guest. Lost 3 days of my vacation due to that. Poor breakfast experience. Mainly they overbool poached eggs.

it was fine but to expensive for what it provides. if you like package holiday you might enjoy it much.

The hotel and the beach are really nice not considering it is marked as a 5 star hotel. The breakfast is really good.

The service at the restaurants seem to be quite unprofessional/uncoordinated and sometimes unfriendly

The beach front was excellent and was like living in a rain forest. Sea swimming was great lovely and warm. pools good too.

all good but being fussy I would want to be in a bungalow next time!
