I always stay at Madhuban guest house when I am in Kathmandu, the last time I stayed one month to do some work. I find the location very convenient as I can walk to Thamel and Durbar square easily, though Paknajol is much quieter with less traffic noise, good restaurants and shops are near by, but most of all what makes this guest house really special is the hospitality, I always feel like home, mr Kedar and all the staff are always kind and helpful, and really try to accommodate every needs, he can book your bus to Pokhara and advise on travelling Nepal and other services in Kathmandu.
The breakfast it is very nice and fresh every day, the rooms are clean with comfortable beds and there is always hot water in the shower.
I recommend staying here because you will not be disappointed.

Believe or not - everything was fine. Nice, comfortable and clean rooms. - and ALWAYS warm water 🤯 My room was on the 4th floor so there was a terrace and I had a good view over the roofs of Kathmandu 😂. I felt at home from the first moment because of the nice owner and the nice staff helping me to find solutions whenever I needed: Taxi, organizing my trips, recommendations for affordable restaurants and so on. The breakfast was perfect, so I started always in good mood! - Thank You so much 🙏🙏
.... I did want to leave! 😭

Super location with helpful staff. A nice terrace with spacious rooms. You can leave the luggage if you go for trekking, which was super helpful.
