We arrived on a Saturday and it was like Butlins - loads of kids and families - loud pool music, totally the opposite to what we expected - noisy and busy !!! It was similar on Sunday too - thankfully by Monday it was less chaotic so I am unsure if they allow day passes for non residents at weekends because there was way more people than capacity could offer.
We had beachfront villas, our 1st was 1/6 but then they moved us to 1/7 because of issues - however both villas experienced the same issues - Water was warm and not hot in the shower - the water pressure does not allow for just the hot tap to run and to use the handheld shower you need to add cold water for pressure otherwise it reverts back to the rainforest head,so you have to use the rainforest overhead shower if you want hot water so not ideal if you do not want to get your hair wet - the shower system needs updating.
We also experienced in both villas a very strong sewage smell in the late afternoon to evenings so this was rather unpleasant and surprising.
Villa 1/7 the patio doors do not meet at the top so there is a gap for bugs
The hotel manager works from home so when we wanted the issues of the shower and sewage addressed we had to wait for them to reply to messages rather than a visit. They tried to resolve and offered us a complimentary massage which was very nice but again the location of the spa is very central and very noisy as it is right by the restaurant so not conducive for relaxation. I would not grade this resort as a 4* 3* at the most
