The Wellington Hotel is amazing. It’s oozes with charm and history going back to the 16th century. It is also supposed to be haunted by three ghosts but disappointedly we never one. The breakfasts were delicious with a wide choice from the menu. The bar and restaurant is a lovely place to spend time as we did due to Storm Austen hitting on one of the days we were there. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We took our dog to the hotel and we even got a complimentary bag of treats for her when we arrived.
The hotel is situated next to the beautiful harbour with plenty of interesting shops and quaint cafes in the village. It is worth the 30 minute hike to the cliff top lookout point to see the stunning view of the rugged Cornish coast line. The lookout tower is maned by coast guard officers who delight in telling you about the shipping and wildlife that can be spotted from the top of the cliffs.
We never saw the resident ghost and the car park has limited space although there is plenty of parking in the village.

The food in the bar let us down a little for dinner! The breakfast was better 😀

Parking at a premium so difficult to park close to hotel but understandable due to location
