Lion Hotel & Studio Apartments

Cheap and cheerful. Wasn’t expecting state of the art luxury, instead we expected somewhere clean, comfortable and convenient which this place exactly was. The breakfast full English options were also excellent. Highly recommend all round.

A very very minor point which didn’t impact our stay but could be easily addressed by management - part of the sealant around the shower has started to turn black. Like I said, very minor and the rest was all clean, but this can be easily addressed with a grout / mould spray and it’d look perfect.

Great location being only a few minutes walk from Criccieth, room was spacious and comfortable but was located just above the bar area so was also noisy up till about midnight. Overall the food was good but my wife thought her starter was poor (nachos), also bar prices were reasonable. Overall a good stay.

It was spotless. The breakfast was great and location superb.

The barman. Such a negative experience. Refused to acknowledge us when we arrived, emptying tje dishwasher thay stopped after we were stood at the bar (with 4 people including us!!) Then feigned knowledge of the workings of the TV so as not to put the football on amd had a very poor attitude the entire time! Which was so opposite to everyone other experience we had. So much so on our subsequent nights we went elsewhere! Shame

Bed was comfortable

Cleanliness had to ask where our room was and the bar was full of locals it was like being in a Wetherspoons bar
