Some problems with the maintenance. Lights and A/C Food with problems

Beautiful hotel in beautiful landscaped gardens. Breakfast was incredible. Room amazing, beautiful view (although some are at the back, so be careful when booking) and very clean.

That on the walk from check-in at reception to our room, we were given a list of things that weren’t included in the room rate (which was already quite high) including being allowed more than one coffee capsule each a day! Pathetic. Horrible start to a hotel stay.

The property was well maintained and looked the part.

The property was remote and took 4.5hrs to drive to. No trains available! Service in the hotel was always very slow. Your hot prepared food always arrived when you had finished your breakfast. The hot food was tepid in temperature. The kitchen was incapable of making tiny changes to any order. It was impossible to swim in the Pacific Ocean as the water surrounding the hotel was questionable in terms of level of cleanness- very disappointing! Bad smells around the hotel could be pungent at times- which was without doubt sewage problems! If you used glasses in the bedroom the cleaning staff never removed them or even cleaned them, even when we requested them to be removed! Certainly room for improvement. Standard needs to be raised!
