Hotel was soooooo clean despite of it’s long history. I was so impressed.
The picture of the room was different with the actual room that I stayed.

After 4th visit: still love the Style of Timeless grand luxury hotel, great Onsen with enchanting view, excellent breakfast with silver tableware served in the magnificent main room, and to not miss the Excellent Spa aroma treatment massage performed by JUNKO.
Beautiful Japenese restaurant KIKKA-SO, but this time Service wasn't nice at all and spoiled the experience (even, and especially, when foreign? waitresses are dressed in kimonos). Service was far more courteous and professional the past 2 years, hoping it will return soon to its former level of excellence.
The Room 254, whithout enjoyable view or exposure, wasn’t the most pleasant of our visits.
Outside swimming pool should try to open sometimes (4th visit here, but haven't been able to test it yet ;)

Beautiful area. Beautiful premises. Beautiful garden. Could probably do with a bit of fresh air to look less frozen in time, but very good place altogether.
Some of the staff are terrible, in particular the male front desk managers we had to suffer repeatedly. No idea of hospitality whatsoever. Live in their own world. Dreadful behaviour: unfriendly; unwelcoming; aggressive; borderline racist in behaviour; trying to find problems instead of solutions; all in all behaving as if he is the king of a castle and clients are his inferiors lucky to be there. The absolute type of bad behaved people who kill otherwise good hotels!
