Bungalows were a buy run down (nothing terrible) and mattresses were old and stained (underneath the mattress covers)

Amazing views, spacious bungalow for our family of 5. We loved the activities that were available. The staff was top notch and we felt so welcome.
The only thing I would have liked was a small microwave or toaster oven. There were a couple of times we had leftovers from meals and no way to reheat.

The site is amazing, one of the best beaches and seas ever. The staff, especially the native people, is wonderful: always trying to accomodate your needs and always willing to do something kind for you and your family.
But aside from the wonderful seashore, once you get there you're almost blocked and in the hands of the resort's managers - and they know it. You can move by bicycle should you want to ride a bit, but if you want to either eat somewhere else or make grocery shopping (in case you opted for the residence formula), you have to rent the resort's car at around 80 dollars per day. To eat there are 2 possible options: (1) if you have the residence formula, and hence a kitchen, you can buy the food at the supermarkets (there are few, with not so much choice), spending additional 80 dollars for the car each time you go there or (2) eat at the very expensive restaurant of the resort. If you don't want to eat "a la carte" (in four people you can easily spend 100$ or more for a so-and-so breakfast and 200$ or more for a lunch or a dinner). You can choose from two meal options, full (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or "modified" (breakfast and dinner) - the latter stills make a lot of money, especially if compared with what you get for that money, not considering the daily issues in getting some ingredients or food, so that it's almost impossible to get what you want from the menu. Plus there are some unavoidable extras that the managers of the resort are very good at shaping. All guests with whom I have spoken were disappointed and willing to leave if they could. It would be more transparent to propose a room+meal plan cost at reservation, or seriously downsizing the meals cost for the guests of the resort. To make it short, out of about 1500$ payed for the room, with the modified meal plan and few activities (pigs, fish trip and katamaran trial), at the end we spent more than 5500$.
- No full transparency on costs.
- Being litterally blocked in that location with no other viable options for food.
- Had to pay for some "fancy" extras. About the trip to see the pigs, we've been told the cost was of 550$ for each boat (we were two families of 4 people). We got only one boat with a broken engine that was not working fine, so we had to reduce the journey: nonetheless we had to pay 830$ due to a different "formula" used for the calculation. Not fair, neither honest.
- Some food is always missing.
- Meal plan is crazy expensive, especially compared with what you get. A room+meal plan, with clear prices (including taxes) would be better. Reduced (for real) prices for the resort's guest would be appreciated.

The beach was fantastic, sort white sand and clear turquoise water. There were kayaks and paddle boards and the water was calm. one day I saw two dolphins from the beach. We paddled around into the lagoon area north of the resort and saw starfish, stingrays and small sharks. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff we helpful. There are bikes available which we used to bike to the Columbus monument (11km return). We also rented a car to see some of the other sights of the island. One highlight was seeing the sharks feeding at Flying Fish marina in Clarence Town when the fishing boats clean their fish and throw the scraps in the water.
The only downside was too much Whitney Houston and Michael Bolton playing in the restaurant…

Starting with the good (because there aren't many), the beach is beautiful, the property is nice and the managers are super nice.
Overall this was a bad experience.
The food is terrible and anyway most items in the menu are unavailable, the coffee maybe the worst I've ever had in my life, the staff, especially the restaurant waiters, is extremely rude, and most of the announced activities were either unavailable, broken, or more expensive than advertised. This is SO not worth the money it costs. Also, prepare to get completely devoured by mosquitoes, including during the day, something I had never experience anywhere else in my life; you can barely enjoy the beach since you are constantly getting bit even at noon in full sunlight.
Go to Brazil instead, you will have better food, be treated nicely, the beaches are just as nice, and you will spend a third of the money.

Matt and Kathleen are exceptional hosts and did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. A peaceful quiet piece of paradise. We stayed in the Villas which were wonderful.
personally I am a mosiquito and noseeum magnet and I got absolutely massacared. Definately not the Florida disney experience where they disinfest the property.

This is the most gorgeous beach I've ever seen and been to in my entire life!! Exceptional resort, and experience. Incredible nature, something that you simply call paradise on earth. White sand, Pool like water, crystal clear with incredible temperature.
Fascinating resort, and nature... words can't express enough!
As soon as we step in the hotel, we were welcomed by the manager Matt who offered us cold water bottles on a warm day. Check in was very smooth, and you could already feel the amazing vibe of the place from the lobby.
We requested a quiet room/bungalow but honestly the whole resort is just quiet and relaxing, no need for special requests.
Food was beyond phenomenal, everything was super delicious and staff are all very friendly.
One of the most iconic trips in my life, and one of the most special places on earth.
I wish long island has direct flights from the US. The resort requires another flight from Nassau.

This place is amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the location is wonderful, the bungalows are right on the beach, couldn't ask for a better location. We stayed in a 1 bedroom bungalow with a king size bed. We are already planning to go back next year!
Perhaps the food is a little bit expensive but other than that, nothing negative really.

Little Paradise. Relaxing holiday with sun and beautiful sea. Good food considering you are in a place with american / bahamian influence.
Apartment entrance doors with open shutter. Nice for those who want to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and air flow when there is a north wind. But less beautiful for those who want to sleep in silence. Unfriendly service staff with little desire to work: unless there is the presence of the owners. Place frequented mainly by Americans or Canadians and for this reason nobody speaks or understands a Latin language (Spanish or Italian). They could hire at least someone who speaks Spanish and create menus in at least two languages. This may favor the choice of Latin speaking tourists. Apartment without TV and in the evening there is no entertainment. I think it's a choice of property.

A very good place for a long weekend. The property has duplex bungalows suitable for couples, and up to two bedroom luxury villas suitable for families. The staff are excellent--both friendly and competent. The property is well-maintained, the beach lovely. The restaurant provides good food and service (and the bar even better).
The access roads to the resort are in bad shape, so be prepared for a bumpy car or bike ride when you go anywhere. The bungalows are large and reasonably comfortable, but more four stars than five in furnishings and fittings. These are minor issues; it's a very good overall proposition to stay here.
