Friendly staff at any time of day and night. Bed was already made (not usually the case in YHs). Good breakfast selection. Perfectly clean.
The building is concrete and slamming doors reverberate.

Peaceful location with good bus routes close by. Very good breakfast and helpful staff.

Location is great, staff was great, especially the guy from Argentina. Very friendly and helpful.
I loved that the place was overall quiet. It does host school trips so beware of the potential noise.
Loved the free water fountain at the canteen (water in bathrooms is drinkable but I'd rather not fill in my bottle at the place where we pee and poop).
Dorms need refreshing. They're very dark, the metal-framed beds are creaky and the room smells damp. Pillows were uncomfortable.
The door to the female bathroom (shared, outside of the bedroom) would take forever to close so you're basically going to the toilet while everyone passing by can hear what you do.
Worst part was the dorm mates. One Indian-looking girl decided to paint her nails at 6am!!!!!!! And also packed her plastic bags and all, making so much noise you just couldn't sleep. Just next to my head as the beds are really close together. I woke up because of the toxic smell and the only thing she said was "Can I turn on the lights now?" If you're that rude you shouldn't stay in a dorm.
An odd guest talked to me in the main lobby/living/reception room and asked me about my plans next and offered to come with me. I of course said no. Anyway, the guests can be weird in this one and only hostel in Lausanne (reason why I didn't have the choice but to stay there).
I wouldn't stay again, I'd take a short train ride to visit Lausanne and stay in Montreux instead.

The social areas are nice, the breakfast was pretty good and the private rooms were comfortable.
The share rooms could be better, no privacy between beds or good access to plugs from the beds. That’s why I decided to change to private room.
I had an issue during my second night that I hope they managed better. Specially the manager was so rude, instead of apologizing or try to improve the situation, she just blame me and blame the employee, who was actually really nice.
It could be a Hostel, but kindness and respect for the client belongings it’s crucial in hospitality. Just becuase this I don’t think I will stay again here.
Also to far from the center, no restaurants or grocery stores near.
