Lovely spacious room with spa bath and separate shower, and balcony with view over the Venetian harbour. Great position in the old town. Excellent staff who were very friendly and helpful. They found us another room to use during the day after our initial booking as we had a late ferry back to Piraeus. Very good breakfast and they even gave us a packed breakfast when we were leaving on an early tour. We also ate in the excellent restaurant on 2 occasions. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Lots of stairs but expected for a 500 year old building.

The location is excellent with direct access to the old harbour and the the city.
It has a charming character and beautiful views
I reserved the economy room as it was the only one left so I was expecting it to be basic.
The mattresses however were extremely old and uncomfortable. You could feel all the springs digging in your body. Despite this, when I complained the reception was excellent at dealing with my issue and in no time they provided a mattress topper substantial enough so I could use the bed and not feel the springs.
They also later informed me that they have ordered new mattresses as they were not aware of this issue.
Additionally, since this is an old property, there was no noise insulation between my floor and the one above me. In the mornings I could hear all the footsteps and loud voices as people were preparing for breakfast.
This didn’t last long but it was very morning and had to use earplugs.
